A lot more injuries than is known. Younguns start to come in to their own. Play calling finally gets a sense of reality and finds a rythm. Apps begin their second half of the season roll, showing the future looks bright. (Now that’s a glass half full posture.)

UMass 31
Hope I’m wrong, but massive injuries, a huge umass o line, and being the favorite on a long road trip against a better than their record team spells trouble.

I think we roll today. UMASS is 1-7 with losses to Coastal and ODU, two teams I don't think too highly of and we're better than we've been playing. I get that Coastal played us tough, but it was their super bowl this season.
I keep waiting for a complete game and I think we will see it today.

Quote from The Watauga Democrat: "Appalachian State was often its own worst enemy. The Mountaineers turned the ball over three times", it's hard to win if you can't hold onto the ball. Just ask Georgia Southern and now us!WataugaMan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:16 amRechecked, it was four turnovers. If we can hold onto the ball and limit turnovers, we win!Longrifle28 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:11 amThat is true. Hope we take care of business.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:08 amI heard Georgia Southern turned the ball over 5 times, that usually helps scoring.Longrifle28 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:06 amNot sure how this will play out, but UMass has scored over 50 in the last two games. I think anyone who picked them to score less than their average of 31 points per game has some faith in our defense. Also wondering how injuries might affect our defense.

Not to mention behind the play penalties that cost us two scores.
