Athletics announced White Out for Old Dominion

First....white is reserved for the visiting teams uniforms, ergo no way should KBS EVER, EVER have a white out game. The colors are Black and Gold (well....yellow now) so no to the white out.

Second....ask Furmson how the white out went the last time they did when the boys rolled into Greenville. There was lots of aluminum disguised as white shirts and they got they got their collective butts waxed!

Third.....as someone stated in an earlier post EVERY Saturday in KBS should be Black Saturday, and not just one designated Saturday.

This is an idea that ranks up there with New Coke in the pantheon of bad ideas. For the love of Yosef, I hope someone in Boone is listening and rethinks this. I have never, and will never, wear white to a game in KBS. We wear black at home. That is such a simple concept.

The marketing Dept's response to this obvious bad idea will inform us of their knowledge and intelligence.
I pray that they do the right thing and don't show arrogance to the Mountaineer faithful. It's already hard to even point out a recognizable face in the AD and Yosef department.

Tequila at my tailgate has had similar results in the past. Except there is no material obstructing the full view.

White's not so bad, but no way on pink. At least we have white uniforms. Besides, I don't mind wearing some white on the East side during September. It gets warm out there. 20 years ago, nothing but black, but now, I'm happy to wear white.

Just sent my email to Doug Gillin asking that they reconsider their white out idea. Recommended that they experiment with it for the Tennessee game. Will update "if" I get a response.

I don't really mind the idea of a whiteout, because if done properly it really could be pretty special, but after the abject failure that was the "strip the stadium" last season, this does seem like a dumb idea.

That said, I would revolt if the football team wears white for this game. That would be blasphemy.

First let me thank you for the effort to bring new ideas to the game experience. I might suggest in the future that you run these by some focus group including alumni of all ages and of course the students. App State has made a brand of Black Saturday. Every Saturday is Black Saturday and I am hearing significant displeasure with the thought of a “White Out” especially with ODU’s color of white. Gold which is a primary color would be fine but white in the opinion or many is a huge mistake. Few people have purchased white merchandise and I don’t think people will be buying any for something most diehard Mountaineers think is a poor idea.

Any kind of color scheme only works IF a vendor pays for the shirts and they're laid out on your seat. Trying to disseminate info on a color scheme is spotty at best and asking people to change their game day habit of is tough.
