Bjorn Nitmo. Only because I have never seen a kicker before or since warm up by actually doing gymnastic splits on the bleachers.
Or Dino Hackett...he was an absolute headhunter and later he was hilarious scaring away NFL replacement scabs that tried to cross the picket lines during the NFL strike with his shotgun. Classic!

I did not know that about Dino. As a union man I appreciate his willingness to support his union.JGthatsme86 wrote:Bjorn Nitmo. Only because I have never seen a kicker before or since warm up by actually doing gymnastic splits on the bleachers.

It's easy. We won without Armanti. We didn't win without Lynch.Saint3333 wrote:Coakley, Edwards are certainly the best two in the division I era. Settle, Hackett, and Moore would be next.
KRich, Satt, Hunter, and Rico Mack are some of my other favorites.
I don't get the Lynch over AE comments.

Too, I don't think Richie Williams got enough attention in this poll. What I liked about Richie was he almost always made it a point to praise his OL when he was interviewed.

Just too difficult to pick but this really makes you think about all the great ones we have had.

And we would have not have had Lynch in 2007 except for the bone-headed play where the coaches allowed him to get injured as a punt returner in the 2004 game against a lesser opponent that was already decided when he took the field as the PR. He got a medical redshirt that year IRC as the result of that play. Regardless, twas poor decision making on our coaching staff's part but ended up making them look good later down the road.Saint3333 wrote:Coakley, Edwards are certainly the best two in the division I era. Lynch was told to fair catch the ball. He did not. He told me this twice.CVAPP wrote:And we would have not have had Lynch in 2007 except for the bone-headed play where the coaches allowed him to get injured as a punt returner in the 2004 game against a lesser opponent that was already decided when he took the field as the PR. Re: Who is your all Time asu favorite football alumni or coach
Just a reminder to everyone that this is an OPINION question. There is no right or wrong answer. "Who is your favorite" is NOT the same as "Who is the best player."
I agree with NewApp that Richie Williams doesn't get nearly enough credit in the memories of our fans. He was (and I'm sure he remains) a total class act and will always be on my list of favorite players....along with Armanti, Corey, etc. etc. etc.
For the record, I think if you were to remove either Armanti or Corey Lynch from the 2006 / 2007 teams, we probably wouldn't have won a championship. There are others who would fall in that category as well. That's the nature of a team sport.

Good points and unless I over looked it, I don't think Richie Williams even got a vote in this thread.Yosef84 wrote:Just a reminder to everyone that this is an OPINION question. There is no right or wrong answer. "Who is your favorite" is NOT the same as "Who is the best player."
