That's just Todd. Every so often he has to let his jack-ass side out. Its been awhile, but I guess its time.EastHallApp wrote:Apparently ASUTodd has made it his mission to go around to multiple threads that have nothing to do with Lamb and troll, followed by baseless comments about him being the reason we aren't undefeated.

If that's not good, I really don't know what is.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
This thread reminds me of the game we played as kids. Whisper something in the ear of the person next to you and pass it down. At the end see how much the message changed. Why isn't there a "Taylor Lamb stinks" thread? For crying out loud check to see the percentage of teams 9-2 or better right now in FBS. I never really get QBR rating and don't believe it is the determining factor with the success of a quarterback. I don't think that Cam Newton lights that stat up every week. What he does though is lead and win. There have been a few quarterbacks who have led teams to big wins and big seasons without tearing up the stat sheet. Taylor makes a few bad decisions but also makes plenty of sweet throws. Saturday when he had his helmet ripped off he didn't show one moment of hesitation. He let the coaches check his nose to see if it was still there, grabbed his helmet and rocked on. How many guys start at QB for 4 seasons in the FBS? My guess is not too damn many. Barring injury or a MAJOR drop off he has a great chance to leave with an impressive resume. We are a run first team and don't rely on a QB to throw 50 times a game. The TD to PIC ratio is not too shabby. The kid will only get better.BUTCH1991 wrote:So, how is Terrance Upshaw?

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Not to veer this thread back off course but I'll give my $.02 worth of conjecture. Let me preface this by saying Lamb has won the starting job, he's only a sophomore, I trust both SS and Ponce's decision and fully back Lamb as the starter now and going forward based on all of the accolades mentioned previously as well as the eye test.
However, I'll lend some credence to what Todd has said from my amateur POV. Lamb does seem a bit hesitant in getting rid of the ball from time to time. From my seat in the stands, TL looks the most comfortable throwing to McGuire and Jones. He seems to throw it to a spot for those guys and allows them to make a play. There have been several instances over the past few games where WR's appeared open and I feel had Lamb made the throw on time, he could have completed a few more passes.
With all that being said, Lamb (for the most part) makes good decisions and doesn't make many mistakes. So you take the good (not making a lot of mistakes) with the bad (not getting rid of the ball quickly at times) and hopefully he continues to progress. Normally you hear of the Sophomore slump but I don't believe TL falls into that category. With all the film on him, TL must continue to develop (timing, progression and arm strength), build more trust with his WR's/TE's (especially since several Seniors will be gone) and continue leading this team. I have zero doubts he can continue to improve but he does have room to grow with potential to rewrite App's record books!
