Nick Saban just went for it on 4th and 1 from his own 36 yd line down 7 at the end of the first quarter and didn’t get it. SMH
It has been interesting watching Bama this year because they have done a lot of strange things. In the LSU loss, they score a TD and decide to go for 2 and they miss it. Later in the game they score a TD and go ahead of LSU but again they go for 2 and miss it putting them up by 4. LSU scores a TD and then Bama has to drive for a game tying FG. Had they just kicked the 2 extra points, that field goal would have won the game. A similar thing played out in the Tennessee game where had they taken the easy points (like they always do) they would have had the lead and not had to attempt the long FG at the end of the game. Point is, Bama did strange things like we have done this year and it had the same result, it caused a loss where it could have been a win.
