I always found it funny that a little FCS call up fanbase thought they could disrespect it's new conference mates with the name BS. (Especially since our media guys go out of their way to pronounce your name properly, when most of the country still doesn't care enough to get it right.)

I do agree its pretty infantile to call a school with a disrespecting name. Especially, when one considers how some here go ballistic when folks call us certain names or mispronounce it. Not sure why folks have a hard time with UL or simply Louisiana.

Unless one struggles with literacy, it's pretty easy to find out. I may be remembering incorrectly, but didn't you guys struggle with a name issue a while back? I know Troy State did, so maybe I'm confusing the two. At any rate, The University of Texas - Austin is widely known as Texas, not the entire academic name. We are the same. I understand the time of identity is relevant, I'm just pointing out the comparison. And as far as you are concerned, it's better to say you lost to Louisiana than ULL, ULaLa, Louisiana-Lafayette, UL-Lafayette, etc etc... right?

That's mighty big talk coming from someone who's team is 0 & 5 against us. I get the sensitivity about the name and I'll personally try to stop with the LaLa and admit I have been using it. However; the disparaging comments about you guys not wanting to come to Boone originates from disparaging remarks your previous coach, Hudspeth, made about having to come to Boone and even complaining that we were even added to the conference early on.
I guess it must be pretty disheartening to have been at the FBS level since the late 70s but are 0 & 5 against a little 'ole FCS call up school like App who I believe put up 63 points on your boys last year.

Touche'. Hudspeth pissed off a lot of people with his BS, so I get it. 0 for 5 against you guys is totally unacceptable, which is a big part of why he was canned.

As far as last season, our guys quit against Ga Southern, and really didn't want to be in Boone that day (straight from a players' mouth). Our program really sank into the pit over the last 3 years of Hudspeth's regime. I can almost guarantee Billy Napier will never do such things, and you will find that most of our fanbase has a ton of respect for App St.
