Here are a few points about our offense in 2nd half. 7 possessions, 1 TD, 1- 5 and out, 5- 3 and outs (a couple a result of penalties), 1 blocked punt allowed. Sat even said we got sloppy.

All I have asked is that our offense stay focused and play up to their abilities for the full game. Seems the coaches also expect the same. Every ultra successful coach I know has called his team out even if they win big against an over matched opponent yet don't play to their abilities, i.e. Coach K, Saban, Meyers, Dean Smith, etc., etc. I don't think we should be making excuses for them and they should not either.
I think everybody understands the issue and I think the coaches probably ARE calling them on it. They just aren't doing it publicly which is completely appropriate. Satterfield did say they got sloppy and I bet he is dealing with the drop off in intensity. I just think many of us are getting worn out with the recurring threads because this issue is not going to be resolved on the message board. If the intensity drops next week against Troy, it will be a much more concerning issue. So far, is has NOT dropped when it was needed. At GS, we were tied at the half and turned in a dominating second half. We will see how this plays out.
What's ever resolved on a message board?

Why can't the guys ever seem to cover the spread? You would think Vegas would have learned by now that App coasts with a big lead and their spreads are too high.
We're shaving points.
Ha, I was reading guys on ESPN (obvious gamblers, not App fans) accusing App of just that things. "Why do they never score in the fourth quarter to cover the spread?" they were saying. I just laughed.

I thought the guys look good, but it's clear they lighten up with a big lead. I hope it doesn't bit them in the last four games.
After yesterday's game, we have now gone one game in a row without scoring in the fourth quarter to cover the spread.

If our offense plays the whole 60 minutes, I sure hope they get a FG or TD on that last play so that we win instead of go to overtime at 0-0. :)

I think it's somewhat intentional to slow the game down and become more conservative on play calling once the game is under control, especially with the way our defense is playing. Hopefully, we'll have that perfect game this Saturday at Troy. Also, I suspect Coach Satt wants to keep certain things offensively under wraps until he needs them. Why show all of your cards, or risk putting players at risk, if the defense is enforcing "No Trespassing" in the end zones?

Was it just me or did i notice a hurry-up Jet type offense for a series. Had not noticed that before. I assume that was just something to get on film to have to prepare for.

Yes we ran the jet in the 2nd quarter. Satterfield referenced it in his post game press conference
