I guess one advantage of the Thursday night game was that some of the coaches got to go to high school games. I saw coach Woody on the sidelines for the 1st half of the Mooresville / Statesville game last Friday night. Mooresville has a great running back, Akease Rankin. He had 198 yards on 24 carries and 5 touchdowns. and he only played the 1st Half! They also have a sophomore DB that has supposedly been offered by NC State. Statesville's quarterback is supposed to be a stud as well, although Mooresville kept him in check. Firemoose, any scuttlebutt on who they may have been scouting?

Several. But there is a difference in visitors and targets of the staff. I'm working on a list to post. I've got several names but want to make sure who is truly on our board and who is just taking a visit to see. I'll post a list as soon as I get enough info.

And appbanker: Haven't forgotten you. I'm checking and crosschecking my notes and lists to see who we may have been scouting. I've just been covered up. I'll have some info for you too ASAP.

I was right in the middle of adding the commit and the site went down for me. Not sure if it was system wide or just me but I couldn't get on the page. Anyway here we go.

As 78 stated we have our 9th commit. DB/WR Kielan Whitner (6′ 1″ 185) of Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville, GA has committed this afternoon. He was offered way back on March 5 and has been one of our top DB targets this year. The Rivals 2 star has committed to App over offers from Air Force, Army, Ga. State, Harvard, Mercer, MTSU, Presbyterian, Samford, Troy, and Yale. I have moved him to the Commits section of the Main page and updated his player page.

Must be a smart kid with offers from the service academies and the ivies. Looks like a good get.

Welcome! Just hope he's fast. I like the slash too - positional versatility is good.

I hope he ends up as a CB. watching his tape, he already looks like he plays in similar scheme to what we are running

The recruiting threads are for recruiting information and relevant comments about recruits. Commentary about the team or the coaching staff should be put in an appropriate thread. Anything of the like posted in this thread will be deleted.

What he said. I will not have negative posts brought into the recruiting threads. Recruits, family and friends, and even opposing coaches read these threads. Keep them out or I will stop posting the info and working on the pages. End of story.

From Twitter WR/DB Zireycus Letman (6′ 3″ 195) of Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA has received a reported offer from App. A player page with highlights has been added to the Main Page. The Rivals and 24/7 3 star WR/FS is a teammate of App commit LB Dezmin Reed. He was a two sport player (basketball) in HS and shows with a 40" vertical. He is listed as the #61 JUCO player nationally, #9 WR, and #2 WR in GA from 24/7. He has been picking up some high level interest so I'm checking on other offers. I'll update as soon as I get the information.

Moose where are the coaches projecting Letman to play...WR or DB? Do you know if ZL is above Markeyvious Adams as far as targets? It would be awesome if we could land both big body prospects, especially if the coaches project ZL to play WR. Then they could redshirt MA since ZL would only have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Hope this doesn't mean that the recruiting of Markeyvious Adams and Adonus Lee isn't going well... We need Mock Adams
