Like I always say it is still early so I'm not worried about it but it would not shocked me if we are ranked. We have to worry about ULM though. It is clear we are the Super Bowl for everyone. If we aren't ranked next week then we will for sure if we can easily cover the spread against ULM. As long as we are in there come November I'm happy!

I want us to earn the ratings so we aren't a laughing stock with others as the team who just beats up on nobodies and when facing a real team loses. I just know that the CFP is what matters and nobody remembers the Sept and Oct polls. I want to get to the point where we are ranked every week because that means we are sweeping the SBC.

Few teams ever sweep their conference. That's a tough ask. Enjoy the ride. I hope it happens as early and often as we can get it.

Very tough to do but we just have to keep building. The SBC is tougher than people think but we are talented. I still don't take anyone for granted. If our players go by the 24 hour rule and always think 1-0 then I feel like there is not an opponent on our schedule we can't beat.

I think we could get in depending on how much of a clobbering Alabama gives A&M. If they have a "good" loss, the AP might only drop them one spot because SEC reasons. But if they get obliterated they might move Cincy up and us into 25th if they can take care of Houston.

You have to give the commentators credit tonight, the way they were talking, it almost seemed like they were trying to make compelling statements to put us into the rankings. If not, well we'll just have to beat ULM and become 6-0 and bowl eligible to get the point across.

“Good” losses notwithstanding.... No chance a 3 loss A&M team is ranked. Could we beat them? I don’t think we would be favored on a neutral field. Regardless, a 3 loss team at this point will not be ranked.

I believe the most honest answer is "who knows?" If unbeaten, one would hope so. At 12-1... lot of variables to consider.

I don’t think we can afford a loss. UCF/Boise has a lot more “good will equity” built up to keep them hanging around in the polls with an L.

We lose once and we will drop right out like an FCS team. Gotta keep winning.

I'm referring to the NY6 invitation. In my scenario Boise wouldn't qualify obviously if they don't win the MWC championship and we need a 2-loss AAC team to win their championship for us to have a decent shot at an invitation and of course our winning out is best, but I wonder if we even just played South Carolina close, like to the wire or OT close if that would be enough for the committee. The rest of the AAC season is wide open but I fear that Boise is gonna roll right into the NY6.

Agree with the above, we can't lose and have a chance at the Access bowl. I believe a one loss App team would finish the season ranked but an AAC or MWC team with 1 or 2 losses would be selected before us to the NY6, too much Strength of Schedule difference to make up.

I also agree that Boise is our biggest concern (should we remain undefeated). I think the AAC will beat itself up and not have a conference champ with less than 2 losses.

I think we also need to be realistic about how the South Carolina game will be perceived. That team is going to have a real hard time getting to six wins even if they do beat us. If we want NY6 consideration, then we can't expect people to look at that as Little Ol' App taking on some Goliath and consider it a "good loss" if we lose to them.

SC will enter our game needing to win two games most likely. I don't see them beating UGA or FLA the next two weeks.

If they love to UTk or Vandy as well the apathy from their fans will be suffocating.
