We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

For those yelling about firing the coaches, just stop.

For those hoping Lamb will continue to start, I think you can quit hoping and begin expecting. Lamb was recruited by SS, and played well on Saturday. It seems he is now SS's guy and will be our guy moving forward.

Luckily, I was at a wedding, so I didn't get to watch the game. Although, I was royally PO'd. Last night's Panthers s#!tshow did nothing to ease my anger. However, it's a new day and there are still a lot of positives to take away from Saturday's game. No, I'm not talking a moral victory, I'm talking areas to build on while addressing the negatives.

Here is my unsolicited, uneducated advice to SS: 1) throw caution to the wind and let's try things out, 2) line up under center, 3) open up the playbook, and 4) make Woody run laps for that all-out-blitz call. :D

I get the make Woody run laps for blitzing is a joke but we can't get mad everytime a play doesn't work. It has been said on this board that we need to blitz more. So we did and we got caught. My feeling is that someone on the field missed the assignment and left the guy wide open. It happened for us in the Campbell game when Lamb hit a wide open McELfresh. My point is this and not directly aimed at you. We can't call for the coaches to do something and then admonish them when they try it and it doesn't work out.

I agree, personally Im glad we finally started blitzing, thru the years I've grown tired watching qbs sit in the pocket, take their time, and pick and choose where to throw the ball, it didn't work this time, but next time it might be the play that wins us the ball game.

When we sent an all out blitz, Southern Miss just had the perfect play call. If it was so easy to choose the right blitz package, we would never let a team score.

Football is two sided. The defense knows it's taking a risk sending a blitz. If the offense has the right play called on the blitz, its likely going to be a big play. If the offense has the wrong play called, its likely going to be a big loss. This is exactly what makes football so fun and exciting.

I should have stopped reading after you said that you got it was a joke, then I would have been convinced that you got it was a joke. Also, I'm glad it wasn't "directly aimed" at me as I called out people for bashing the coaches in the exact same post. Just saying...

Couple of questions:

Is this game on ESPN3 replay? I want to go back and watch it again. There was one play (memory foggy) where Lamb threw to the outside (Jones or McGuire) and it looked like either Beathard or McElfresh were streaking wide open down the seam.

Can someone explain to me what happened on the 4th down play where the coaches were trying to decide on what to do, which resulted in a timeout that then turned into a delay of game and took App out of FG range? Having a delay of game following a timeout is unacceptable! Why waste the timeout? Just take the delay of game, punt the ball and save the TO.

My OPotG: Cox & Lamb (despite their turnovers, I thought both played well)
My DPotG: Ross
