Won't predict the specific scores, but we win by a 21 point margin.

Re: Official Gumroot Gus prediction thread
I think not only do we win, but we win big. They have weaknesses in the secondary, 2 linebackers out for a half, and no passing game. They will probably put up a bigger number than anyone else but Clemson on us, but it won't be in the 40s or anything.

If we can control Matt Breida, I like our chances. If we let him run like Brian Hill (Wyoming) did we'll be in trouble. We also get Middleton back and GASO has two of their linebackers out for the first half for targeting against NMSU. I'm not sure how much those two are impact players but hopefully that can help us in the first half. We just need to do what we've been doing and the fans need to be loud and rowdy when it counts.

I'm predicting that we stomp them like the inferior opponent that they are.

GS - 34
GS hits on a few big-play wrinkles in the first half and we have trouble responding. Also worried we may come out over-hyped and get caught with some costly penalties or other mistakes. As we have all year, we come out blazing in the 2nd half and slowly claw back into it, scoring the winning TD with seconds remaining.
Honestly I'd rather have a close game than blow them out. I wouldn't want to head into our bowl with none of that experience to bank on.

Re: Official Gumroot Gus prediction thread
I'm about as nervous and hyped up about this game as any in a long time. It's almost the level of nervous anticipation I felt watching the teams line-up for that field goal attempt in in the Big House in 2007. . .
I agree with some of the analysis already stated. I feel better about our prospects of a 2nd half come back after last week's game, and think we may need it. Playing the triple-read-option style of offense is all about execution and staying in your lanes. The better defenses have figured it out and beat it. I think we have one of the better defenses.

“When you take that field today, you've got to lay that heart on the line, men. From the souls of your feet, with every ounce of blood you've got in your body, lay it on the line until the final whistle blows.”

This is our chance to make a statement and the team knows it. I've got a sneaking suspicion that our defense has another gear and Marcus Cox is primed to break out on the national stage.

Aye, aye...a wise person you are. I have no prediction and only a brief comment. A blowout by one team means turnovers committed by the other. It has the feel of a nail-biter as of 11:15 AM.CaliApp wrote:Apps - 38
