You are correct Mr. Moonshine ---

That decision has been made, we aren't going back. Go look at Wofford's schedule this year and you'll see why we moved.Flounder wrote:Monday morning, I was listening to John Feinstein's sports talk show on CBS radio. The subject of college bowls came up and it was the call-in consensus that all the bowls will now become "minor" bowls--their words, not mine--except for the bowls involved in the BCS rotation in any particular year.
That has been my question from the git go. Is there any difference in playing in any of the vast number of now "minor" bowls--eventually, sometime--than winning three "minor" national football championships and competing for other ones each year?
Other than the potential of going to "Somebody's (minor) Bowl" game, what have we really gained by this move up? We were already there in all other sports except football.
Can anyone name even 10 of the 36 bowl games that were played last year?

Man, that's the best piece you have written all week ---App91 wrote:Bingo, that's why we had to move. The FCS will become even more irrelevant to all but those who participate in the now FCS. Remember, we are in NCAA football, the BCS was never NCAA sponsored, just overseen.
Unfortunately, as you know, he blew a gasket before football even started -App91 wrote:Gotta admit I chuckled at that one!!![]()
