Re: ESPN
Can't beat the unlimited dvr storage YouTube TV offers. I have it set to record every college football game this year. Just typed "College Football" hit the + to turn it to a
sign and it's smart enough to do the rest. Then when you're late to watch a game like last night's Florida/Utah game, I just select catch up through key plays to see big plays and scores then join the live action. Or on a Sunday morning I can select whatever game aired and just watch key plays. Basically like watching Sports Center, just with more highlights, and more games. Then when the season is over, I can just select the
to turn it back to a + sign and it will delete it all. Don't have to delete every game individually.
The multiview they've recently added as of last year I think comes in handy as well. Can have up to 4 games showing on the screen, then select whichever you want to view, then during TV timeout hit back to mutliview and switch to another game. This was really awesome during March Madness
Things like this a long with their channel line up and other features makes it worth it, even when they slightly increase the monthly price.

Re: ESPN
The restriction on HULU traveling is real as far as taking your ROKU or Firestick with you, but you can play it on a mobile device. I guess you could cast it but I've never tried that. I do find their lock-down of IP address a bit annoying.
I think my monthly fee is $80 for the bundle.

Re: ESPN
Remember when streaming based viewing was cheaper than cable and you could see everything you wanted. Those were the days.

Re: ESPN
So, general question with YouTube TV...can you watch on TV and stream on computer?..so when you travel you can watch. Is a charge for how many TV's you watch on? With DirecTV, I would have to pay separately for streaming I believe..so I never signed up. Also, each box has a charge.
Yes, I can Google it.

Re: ESPN
You can stream on TV and computer with no additional charge. Up to 3 devices may steam at the same time. No additional charge, it just gives you a message if you've attempted to exceed 3 and let's you know it can't happen. For me, because I share with my family, it can become a pain when the device limit is met, but for an individual, it's a sweet set up.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:47 amSo, general question with YouTube TV...can you watch on TV and stream on computer?..so when you travel you can watch. We have a firestick attached to every tv that is not a smart tv. Install the Youtube TV app, log in, and done. You can take your firestick/phone/tablet with you anywhere you have internet/5g and watch your local channels and your DVR. It will also give you the option to switch to the local channels of the place you're visiting.

Re: ESPN
Plus, YouTube TV has the NFL Sunday Ticket if you pull for an out of market team.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 6:40 amProblem with Hulu is unless you pay a crazy monthly fee, you can't travel with it. Nor are you going to get even 1080p consistently. I'm running on fiber and Hulu did nothing but buffer for the first 20 seconds after every commercial break.
YouTube TV is far superior in quality for the price point.

Re: ESPN
Youtube tv and travel?
I have a mountain house in Linville, Condo at N. Myrtle Beach, Primary home and wherever I am I have my youtube tv for one price. I also carry a roku stick in my car and plug it into hotels and have used it at campgrounds with wifi. My youtube tv is wherever I go.....including my phone. And, as others have mentioned, the DVR is everywhere I go. I record all PGA events/college football/NFL games and watch at night. Set it once and it will record everything and everything recorded goes with you....including your phone.

If i had to do it again, turn off your bank draft before you part ways, they wanted the cost of the equipment.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:10 amHAD A TON OF PROBLEMS WITH DIRECTtv GETTING MY EQUIPMENT BACK IN A TIMELY MANNER EVEN WITH ME SHIPPING IT BACK IN THE BOXES THEY PROVIDED ONE DAY AFTER I RECEIVEVED THEM -----BEWAREBambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:58 amThanks guys. I’ve found that most smart tv apps don’t work as well as Roku, fire stick, or chromecast. But I have definitely not missed cable.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 5:39 pmEverything he said…..if you have a new smart tv you don’t even need a fire stickAppStateNews wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:49 amYes, you can watch on your TV, phone, tablet, or computer.
