Not a bad idea! They should try to patch this up not matter who if anyone is to blame.jaykisz wrote:I for one believe Coach Moore's name should be somewhere. I was thinking naming the FIELD not the stadium.. Something Florida State did for Coach Bowden.. Just food for thought. thanks

Re: Football Stadium Expansion
Field has been named...Dell Murphy donated a lot for that right. Not happening. Still think Moore-Brewer Stadium (although, unless Kidd Brewer donated for that name, don't see why we need to keep him in there) is the way to go. Another option is to rename Stadium Drive "Jerry Moore Way" or something.

Usually naming rights have a limited time frame, but not sure how App did it however.appgrad wrote:Field has been named...Dell Murphy donated a lot for that right. Not happening. Re: Football Stadium Expansion
It looked like some people were discussing naming rights to the stadium earlier in the thread. Looks like Charlotte is thinking that Lowe's would be a potential corporate partner. They say the CEO of Lowe's is a 49er grad.

Bid rigging was the charge, apparently. Unless he donated to have the stadium named for him, kind of feel like we should give it to Coach Moore. Did far more for school to deserve it..Brewer was here 3 years.

Re: Football Stadium Expansion
Just give JM a bronze statue of him on two players' shoulders like after Michigan, put it on the corner of Stadium Drive, renamed JM something rather, and stadium lot.
Done.
Done.

Lowes spreads it money out pretty far and wide. I'd be surprised if they bought the naming rights to an unproven outfit like Charlotte football. I'd be much less surprised if they did something with an ACC school.appskimtnswim wrote:It looked like some people were discussing naming rights to the stadium earlier in the thread. I'm against it, but that's just me. (corporate naming, that is)appstategrad2008 wrote:Very interesting... I wonder if something like that would be in our future. Would certainly help curb the extra costs of moving up and stadium expansion. Just seems wrong to call the stadium anything other than Kidd Brewer (unless one day it is changed to "Moore Stadium" or something like it). I'm curious what everyone would think about adding a corporate name/logo to our beloved stadium.AtlAppMan wrote:Kennesaw State University and Fifth Third Bank Stadiumappstategrad2008 wrote:Is there even a college football stadium that has a corporate sponsorship? Again...field already named after Dell Murphy in exchange for a sizeable donation. Not changing for a while.Gonzo wrote:What about Jerry Moore field at Kidd Brewer Stadium?

Maybe they'll send them a 15% off coupon for temporary stands.BeauFoster wrote:Lowes spreads it money out pretty far and wide. i'd pay good money to see Cobb walk up to the contractors counter at Lowes and order $5 million in materials, pulling a 15% coupon out of his pocket.
