Re: Early Signing Day just around the corner
I'd be shocked if he was ready to play by September given when the injury occurred.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 11:43 amDaetrich is listed as a Jr on the roster and I remember his saying he was coming back in a social media post back when he got hurt.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 11:29 amis Daetrich going to come back? Dude has been an absolute beast and has made, at this point several wonderful rehabilitations, but at some point someone needs to tell him that he needs to save his legs for life after football.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 9:48 amWhats the word on signing any running backs this class?
We've signed just about every other offensive position in the last round and we all of a sudden are getting thin at a position we rely heavily on.
1. Daetrich is a SR
2. Peoples is a RS Jr
3. NN will be a True SO
4. MWJr will graduate
5. Castle will be a SO but are we expecting him to be a starter?
6. Ben Williams looks like he was RS this year but I have no idea his actual talent level.

He’s throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks. He isn’t transferring to UNC or anywhere program of substance.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 12:25 pmJust curious why UNC?

Re: Early Signing Day just around the corner
Just threw that name out there since he was committed to them before. No inside info on where he is going. He could end up at a P5 or down at a FCS program. If he transfers down a level then I would imagine there is an off the field issue going on that we don't know about though. Anderson is a talented athlete so without any issues I would imagine he ends up at another FBS program.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 12:25 pmJust curious why UNC?

Remember that this year is a mulligan as to eligibility , but yes we need depth at running back. Always. The past few years - since Marcus Cox it seems , we have been consistently hobbled in the depth chart , if not starters.

So what's the story here? I remember him being listed as inactive this year but never heard of his desire to transfer. Do we know the 'why'?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 1:21 pmJust threw that name out there since he was committed to them before. No inside info on where he is going. I have not been able to find anything stating why. He is good enough to play FBS for sure so I will be interested to see why and where he lands.CoachRob wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 2:49 pmSo what's the story here? quite a few. They are all listed in the Moose Lodge. If you don't have access yet, you have to request it through an admin I believe. Not sure on the turn around on that. But you can also follow the signings on 247.

And you probably won’t. Because it may not be a public, “need to know” situation.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 9:07 pmI have not been able to find anything stating why. Maybe not. Maybe one of our beat writers will track it down and do a story on it. Have to hope journalism seeks to find out. If he becomes a NFL prospect then it will get out for sure though.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 9:31 amAnd you probably won’t. Per ESPN top 75, at No. 62. Beat several P5 recruiting and top Sunbelt team. Impressive ranking by SMU and Cincy both in 40s. Although recruiting classes are hypotheticals and what really matters is the play on the field no matter your ranking, nice to be in the rankings.

Re: Early Signing Day just around the corner
I heard rumors but there is a chance that those who say it may not know everything. Reason I said if he gets NFL looks is that usually players who are highly regarded have that stuff leak out. I would like to see a journalist track this stuff down and put it in print but I know they may not always do that.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 12:54 pmSome of us on here know the reason. Good luck with that. I can assure you that it isn’t newsworthy.

Re: Early Signing Day just around the corner
A lot of things like grade issues, legal trouble, home sick, injuries, mental disorders, or sometimes lose their recruiting coach and want to go elsewhere. He is not listed on the App State directory so he isn't here and that's all that matters. He needs to be where he is happy. I wish him well. Maybe he will end up at NC A&T or SC State and become a star for them. I wish him well for sure.
