Re: Cajun OL
We had one dude who was a recruit a few years back, Alex Taylor. Pretty sure he was 6'9 or something and could have been 350 pounds easily once he went through an off season of S&C or two + loading up on Comeback Shack and Peddler. Not sure what happened to him, but he is not longer on the team.
edit- actually, it looks like he is at South Carolina State now.

Re: Cajun OL
I think you have a typo. I think you mean THE D Taylor with capital letters.
And unlike Ohio State Univ, I think THE DT has a great case to trademark this.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: Cajun OL
He has the desire, the ability and the work ethic to be just as good or better as Blair and Sims. JMHOComebackShack wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 2:23 pmWhere does DT stack up against Ronald Blair and Tee Sims?

Re: Cajun OL
How about a comparison to the D line with Hunter and Murrell? They spent real time in the pros.HighPointApp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 2:28 pmHe has the desire, the ability and the work ethic to be just as good or better as Blair and Sims. Re: Cajun OL
If we had Chris Willis, at the opposite DE position, just imagine the pressure we would be putting on opposing QBs. I am pleased with 'Suba's and Spurlins play though. Each have made some BIG plays almost every game. Willis & THE DT may be our next Hunter & Murrell.

Re: Cajun OL
Earle got some snaps and made a big play on the goal line stand. His size and strength made a difference. Plus he was relatively fresh. Depth is critical going forward.

Re: Cajun OL
Also Blackstock continues to make key plays. Just about every game there is a play were he just destroys the Oline and wrecks the play in the backfield. I really am enjoying the rotation we have have up front, I know it's not as deep as it could be but those dudes up front are eating!

Blair is spending real time in the pros and will get a few mil a year next spring in free agencyBlack Saturday wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 3:41 pmHow about a comparison to the D line with Hunter and Murrell? Re: Cajun OL
He definitely had a big impact on the rotation. The better out DL plays, the better Roof's system can work.

Re: Cajun OL
Yeah. Blair has really taken his technique up a notch and should lead to him having sustainable success in the NFL. Hunter was a freak athlete and leaned on that a little too much. Injuries and off the field personal issues kind of washed him out, but he had all of the potential in the world with his physical gifts. I was friends with him back in school and he was always a fun loving guy. Murrell was kind of the opposite, had a lot of the technique and discipline, but wasn't blessed with the frame and freakish athletic ability of Hunter.TomA415 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 8:23 amBlair is spending real time in the pros and will get a few mil a year next spring in free agencyBlack Saturday wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 3:41 pmHow about a comparison to the D line with Hunter and Murrell?
