Several agreed with me, daze. Does that not a surprise to you, either?appdaze wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:58 amWhy am I not surprised....NewApp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:35 amMy objection has to do with the Kapernick (sp) affiliation.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:11 amNike definitely has a checkered past in regards to the whole child labor/sweatshop scandal of the early 2000's, and they've had some hiccups along the way in fixing things overseas, but it seems they've done a pretty good job putting that aspect of things in their past. I'd be just as fine if we were an Adidas or UA-branded school, but I've had no complaints whatsoever about the quality of any of my ASU Nike gear...and I've got enough of it to fill a good 5ft. corner of a closet. Heck, switching my closet over to another brand at this point is almost reason enough to hope we stick with Nike for a good long time...

Same here as to alternative brands. New Balance and Adidas are my favorite shoes. Seem to be better fit and durability than Nike.Apptrain wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 8:05 amMy main objection is also due to their ties to CK. I realize Nike couldn’t give a crap if they alienate the older generations because we aren’t their target customers. But it makes me feel better not to support them and I can easily find alternatives.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 9:50 amThat whole issue didn't even cross my mind. The Kap deal and any reasons for/against that whole situation is about the last thing that would keep me from either buying or not buying a product, but to each his own.appdaze wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:58 amWhy am I not surprised....NewApp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:35 amMy objection has to do with the Kapernick (sp) affiliation.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:11 am
