Everything has to be neutral. If we have an end zone, they have one. If we have fireworks after TD, they have fireworks after TD*. App branding must be covered. Midfield logo must be removed.
Pretty positive this is false. Know for a fact UCF kept their field the same as a usual home game for the 2017 AAC championship. Seeing as all those schools have far bigger budgets than SBC school, i highly doubt the SBC would require a school with a turf field to buy new turf for one game. Also remember the field solely being painted for ECU when they hosted the CUSA CCG game a few years back.
I just assumed that post was a joke, but I guess not.
We’re not taking our logo off our own field, for goodness’ sake.

When I said the midfield logo had to be removed, I used the term loosely. Covering / painting over it could be an option. I know the person that was in that meeting wouldnt lie to me but she could have misunderstood.

If the Sun Belt wants to cover the track with something I won't be mad. Everything else needs to remain the same. Maybe most Sun Belt schools don't care, but at App we take pride in our black endzones and white block A.

C-USA did have a North Texas endzone last year, but Florida Atlantic's final regular season game was at UNCC, and before their final game started, they knew they would host North Texas. They had a little more time to prepare. Literally the only example I could find though.
It is easy to paint if it's a natural turf field grass which is what is in FAU stadium.

Ummmm, yeah. This. Can't believe it took this long for this response to get out there. Natural grass is easy to paint and leaves no permanent damage. They aren't painting artificial turf

I would guess that since this isn't a normal home game; it's a Sun Belt game played in Boone, we don't get to keep the lion's share of the ticket sales so I would think the Sun Belt would reimburse for any costs incurred by us to host the game. So the cost of painting the end zones and the block A at mid-field (and re-painting them back) would be covered by the conference reimbursement?

Is revenue going to be split? We lost one home game this year. Would be nice to help make part of that back.

We don't "own" this game so I would think it'd be part of the conference revenue sharing thing but I'm just speculating. I'd think we'd keep our concession & merchandise sales...maybe parking for those that didn't reserve before Friday at 4:00.

Valid point. Could be a conference preference. UCF has grass, but they didn't change anything.

There would be no re-painting required. The paint used on field turf would be the temporary kind. Like when they paint the lines for a pro soccer game on the New England Patriot's field. So in all likelihood, you will easily be able to see the block A through the conference logo (assuming the rumor is true). If lots of play takes place at midfield the conference logo will start to disappear and the block A will be easily seen (since it's actually colored field turf and not painted on).
Anyways, it's all window dressing for another App home game so let's just go win it! Beat Lala!

No end zones or 50-yard-line logo will be added. Just SBC Championship logos at the 25's.

You can see where the sunbelt championship logos will be painted. Look for the fenced off area on the snow covered field.

There are some aspects of the game App fans won't like since it is officially hosted by the Sun Belt Conference.

I kept scrolling and reading to find the voice of reason. Can’t see ripping up or painting artificial grass

dont know how this differs from FCS playoff games, but I remember the announcing has to be neutral, so no 3rd down bells, and no "hype" music or videos that we usually do

Any thoughts on revenue sharing from this game? I would hope not.
