As a loyal Directv subscriber for years, after they merged with ATT, their service, pricing, and just about everything went downhill quickly. I complained, a lot, and they have bent over backwards to keep me as a customer. They recently gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse, but it expires early next year and I have a feeling I would have squeezed them completely dry by then. My plan is to move completely to streaming services. I’d love to hear anybody’s ideal combination for a family with two elementary aged kids and a dad who is obsessed with sports. I don’t mind spending money as long as I get quality.

Actually, I’m going to start a thread for it....

Check out SlingTV. I've used it for years now and it usually fits my needs. I traditionally have just gotten the "Orange" package because it ESPN ESPN2 Disney for my daughter. I upgraded to "Orange and Blue" which has NFL and fox sports networks. I just added the "sports" add on for 10$ to get ESPNU for tomorrow. I plan on cancelling and just going back to Orange for 25$/ month because that's really all I need sine I have ESPN+ separately. They also allow a 7 day free week.. maybe see if you can get ESPNU in that deal and just cancel after tomorrow?
Hulu Live TV is $40 a month and includes ESPN, ESPN U, ESPNNews, the ESPN SEC, Big Ten Networks, and a few others. Plus you get Nick Jr. and Disney channel. They are actually far more competitive price wise with what people want to pay for TV than the cable providers are.
Cool, I'll check it out. I like Sling but have nickeled and dimed myself up with addons that I spend more than I want right now. I am always looking for alternatives.
My only complaint is that NFL Network isn't included and there isn't much in the way of customization. But I don't like the packages sling offers because I'd have to sign up for both the sports and kids packages; in reality, I only want two channels from each package.
NFL is on Sling Blue. I don’t get local channels so that’s really how I keep up with it

If Sean McDonough is doing the play-by-play, I'll hit the MUTE button and watch in total silence. Afraid I might bust the TV screen trying to punch him.

Hasn’t the App-GSU game always been on ESPNU?

Yes it has been. Quite frankly I prefer Tuesday or Wednesday ESPN games to Thursday on ESPNU from a viewership perspective.

Hmm, for your case Spectrum TV Stream might be your answer. You can choose between ANY 25 tv channels for $20. Believe that includes local channels as well.

Well I did my part, tweeted at the Woody and Wilcox show about the game and they retweeted it and then mentioned it on the show, so maybe we picked up a couple of local viewers. Go App!

My coworker, who's a big college sports fan, offered to lead a trade that I was supposed to be the lead on because he understood I would be too distracted today and tomorrow.

I can’t wait for this game. Changed my work schedule around to be able to watch it. The stink always make me nervous though. Let’s hope the d can come out and stuff them.

I feel like it will be one of those games us fans worry about and then those App boys go out there and beat the brakes off the opponent. This staff always seems to have these boys super focused in big games. I would argue this is the biggest game of the year.

Normally I would agree, but in this matchup, so many times teams have won that shouldn’t, I am supremely concerned. It all aligns for them to be maxed pumped. Go apps, longest day ever, should have just taken it off.
