Where to tailgate at UGA?

Does anyone know who to call to find out if there are tailgating restrictions? I am in Williams Lot as well and will not be happy if my group will not be able to tailgate after the amount of money we paid for that spot.

You don't need to call.

You can absolutely tailgate there, as well as all of the other outdoor lots. If you have any other questions let me know.

I called UGA parking today and they said Williams St parking lot is a permit lot through the Georgia athletic association. They recommend two parking decks, but tailgating was not allowed. Have you heard different?

It's exactly like what I said before. You can tailgate in any of the outdoor lots on campus (such as Williams Street Lot), but not in the parking decks. If you show up to campus without a parking permit, about the only option you'll have will be parking decks well away from the stadium.

Just about every parking lot on campus is permitted through the UGA Athletic Association on gameday's. You will need a parking pass if you want to tailgate anywhere within about a mile radius of Sanford Stadium on campus. Your best bet to tailgate on campus without a parking permit would probably be the Driftmeir Engineering Center on extreme South campus. It's a pretty good sized lot, but does fill quick on gameday's.

You can also park at the intramural fields and take a shuttle to/from Sanford Stadium, but this area is well away from campus.

Just called UGA parking about the Williams St lot, they said you have to have a parking permit through UGA to park there. Is this correct?

You need a parking permit to park anywhere within about a mile of the stadium on campus. You will not be allowed into the Williams St lot without one. Your best bet is the Driftmeir Engineering Center on South Campus, but bring your walking shoes. Some of the churches near campus also offer parking, as does Cedar Shoals High School, but they're obviously not on campus in the action.

I am here to bring joy and plus I don't want to be drinking with all Georgia fans. The guy who is running the promotion is an App grad so he wants as many of us to be there as possible.

Who is that? I used to work at 680, and definitely plan on hitting it up...guess you're talking about someone from the beer/liquor side?
