I do believe it is designed for seats to be installed in front of the club seats.

This is the third rendering I've seen. All three are a little different, but feature the same concept. I would not get worked up on the details at this stage. Be excited that it's in motion, and donate!! If you visit this page regularly, you should be a member of the Yosef Club. Get on board.

You are correct in your notion if future expansion and symmetry are taken into consideration.....If this is not considered it will cost us more in the future and offset any revenue gains you mention BIG TIME.....Just don't want past mistakes repeated that will cost us dearly in future.

As things appear, unless engineering is taking heavy consideration to future opportunities to lose track or recenter field and do build overs to correct one side, or the other, or both for the pitch for lower level stands.......We may be putting the cart before the horse.

Gotta think future symmetry or we will pay 3 or 4 times over is all I'm saying.

Most already know this info on the scorebaord but for those who don't know about the new ribbon boards they will be pretty much full length on each side instead of the 4 smaller ones we have now.

Hopefully this new board comes with better sound quality. The current audio is challenging for even my young ears to hear.firemoose wrote:Most already know this info on the scorebaord but for those who don't know about the new ribbon boards they will be pretty much full length on each side instead of the 4 smaller ones we have now.

According to the Sports Business Daily article link the new scoreboard provides an upgrade in audio and visual equipment. They've also got a picture of the basketball scoreboard, really good looking stuff./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Hopefully this new board comes with better sound quality. The football scoreboard is also the largest board Daktronics has installed at a G5 program, that includes over 60 programs in all 5 of the G5 conferences. From the wording, it sounds like there are bigger scoreboards out there not provided by Daktronics, would be interested to see who the owners of the larger scoreboards are in G5 are.

Not started yet. Probably after outdoor T&F season.
I'm pretty-sure Troy's new videoboard is bigger in terms of square footage, but I guess it's not Daktronics

Heard yesterday at baseball game that baseball may be the home of the old video board. Hand me downs but still pretty sweet!

Re: Stadium enhancements
I was hoping with the last video board upgrade they'd move the old one to the top of Owens, but clearly that's not going to be an option with this one...and none of us really want to see the view of Howard's Knob sullied.

Re: Stadium enhancements
Baseball could use the current KBS board in a big way. The one we have now looks high schoolish.

I get tired of hearing the term "high schoolish."

Well, if we continue to upgrade our equipment to the standards of our peers, you won't have to hear it much longer.NewApp wrote:I get tired of hearing the term "high schoolish."
