Tell anyone you know that a bus trip is being organized if they want to go but it stay and spend a lot of money. There is a seperate thread topic on the details.

This should be one of the better bowl games this season and I hope a lot of people will be watching. Both teams are solid. Despite that, don't expect to see many Toledo fans down there for this one. That has nothing to do with App State. In general, MAC football attendance is not good, home or away.

In the article, "How did App State get picked by the Camelia Bowl again", I have to admit that our very own Thomas Sherril made some good points highlighted by this bit of wisdom :

"App State is the guy who the bachelorette picked, while Arkansas State is trying not to cry in the limousine during their 11.5-hour drive from Jonesboro to Orlando."

Definitely some of your better work, Thomas. :D

Time to embrace the underdog, we weren't supposed to go a bowl game in our first eligible season, we weren't supposed to win a bowl game, we weren't supposed to win a conference title in year two.

Our fanbase is too small to warrant a bowl outside of our footprint, we're just a small school in the backwoods of NC, we've just been proving people wrong since 1899.

Hotel booked, tickets ordered, waiting on news of the events. I'll be at the Avaitor bar again this year, see you in the Dirty.

Did you make the trip for any of the 3 peat National Championships? If so you will want to be at the Camellia Bowl! It had all the excitement of the NC games to me. And for many of us it's only about 90 minutes (100 miles) further than Chattanooga. For example from Raleigh it was about 470 miles to Chatt. It's 570 to Montgomery. Very drivable. Hoist those flags on the vehicles and head south on I 85. And be sure to allow a couple hours for tailgating with App Nation!

Yet again this weekend proved that it doesn't matter where we are if we celebrate with thousands of App fans it's going to be a good time.

alriiiiiiighty!!! I would say we did just about all we could this weekend...took a very respectable crowd (eyeball test says same as last year), played well for exciting game for the nation to feast on and CAN NOT THINK OF A SINGLE DEFENSIVE PLAY WHERE OUR CROWD DID NOT GET AMPED UUUUUPPPP!!!!

Point being, in my opinion, is we have now "owned it", made it ours, left it ALL down in Montgomery and NOW we have laid the solid foundation for the NEXT level.
