We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I can say that as my friends and I were visiting AppGrad78's tailgate on Oct 1st the AD came by and he stopped and talked with people for at least 15 minutes (could have been longer) ---

May I add that it was nice to have finally met you.

And one other thing about Gillin, he is free flowing with info. Even about stuff that one would think should be kept under wraps. Just leaving that teaser out there...

I've seen DG more in two years than I saw Cobb the entire time he was at App.
People! We do not have "poor attendance!" If you want to see poor attendance, go to ULM or GA State. We have very good attendance, just not the magic 30k that so many of you seem to think was once the norm. It never was the norm.

I'm not saying we should be satisfied with being where we are by any means, but a little perspective here.

DG is more approachable than Cobb or Laney and listens! I even see Everts in the lots. Quite a few people have to drive a couple of hours and just want to get out But it was the students with the mass exodus last game. I dont believe anyone was ready for the cold this soon..........

I'm like you in that I don't understand why the young crowd--high school and college-age students leave unless they're off to parties w/o adult supervision. That one is highly likely.

As you get older, you'll come to understand it a lot better. Adults and married couples have responsibilities and commitments that must be met. They may have baby sitters at home and a firm commitment to have the sitters home by a specific time.

Others may have vision problems and aren't permitted to drive after dark. They may be on any number of prescribed medications that have uncomfortable side effects. They may have transplanted organs and be under a doctor's orders to limit their time in big crowds. There are any number of very legit circumstances that could cause people to leave early.

Then, I'm certain that some leave just to go shopping or to meet friends at some restaurant or to hit the Parkway to see the leaves on display. It's a free and open society, so if folks have something else on the front burner, they'll take off in a heartbeat. Just human nature.

Gillen is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Charlie Cobb. Not even close. People really complain about Everts not being Ken Peacock? Well, to be honest if I saw a female chancellor running around like Peacock and doing pushups, etc, I would probably think she may be a tad intoxicated. Again, it's all perspective. We're not hurting at all. I agree with the previous poster about the extreme cold last week. I FORCED myself to stay and the cough drops have helped the last couple of days.
