And when you say kickoff chant I assume you mean the "you suck, asshole"?

I certainly don't mean that. Good riddance to that classless chant.
I just meant that I couldn't really hear the crescendo of the crowd and the "boom" as the kicker boots it.

We play FBS football and I expect an FBS environment, not a high school one. The band gets outplayed by a band half their size on Saturday. We don't play Bugler's Dream when we have the opportunity (well, one time piped in music drowned it out.) We score in the first series after halftime and where are the cheerleaders? The band also can't play Hi Hi Yikas then, since the drum line is in the corner of the stadium (I haven't hear the drum line do anything the last two games) so bring in the piped in fight song. We score late in the game and the A P P flags run across one end zone, wait, wait and now comes the S T A T E flags, make that the S T A flags. The dependence on piped in music has become annoying. Maybe they had a bad day? Maybe not? Come on we can be better that this.
The App Sta did get a lot of laughs in the student section. Not very professional but you gotta laugh and we were winning.

What was funny was that they scrambled to get the other 2 flags for about 10 secs. then said the hell with it!

I am not a yeller or screamer, I do stand and yell for a good play especially a TD. As a Coach I am constantly observing the alignment and positioning, I will let them know when I see 1-on-1 coverage on Meadors or open flat for Barrett.
I am no less/or more a fan of ASU than the person who stands and yells the entire game. To each their own way of enjoying the game.

Wasn't intending to call anyone out. KBS just seems more quiet. It doesn't help that I keep comparing it to my time in the student section from 2007-2011. I should probably lower my expectations a bit.

I was thinking about the BoJack Horseman show on Netflix where the "D" is stolen from the Hollywood sign and for the rest of the series everyone call is Hollwoo, even gameshows are called Hollywoo. So we are now App Sta. I can accept that.

Honestly can't complain about anything more than the canned music and not rushing our field goal team onto the field. Got to burn a timeout some times if we aren't ready.

My only complaint is the guy in front of me in section 110 decked out in App gear glaring at me when I yelled and hit the bleachers in front of me to make noise... sorry sir, this is an App game. Please stop streaming the Ohio State game or move elsewhere if it's that important to you. I will not stop making noise so you can enjoy your poisonous nut game!

The funniest show about depression and self-loathing I have ever watched. Full of laughs, and depressing at the same time. That is a rare feat in TV. Now back to HSACWDTKDTKTLFO.

I will say I saw Rick Beasley in Stadium Lot... Spoke but as I tried to to engage for a moment, he did what I hated the most from him.... Smiled as he kept walking away--- too busy to talk to me.... And just so you know, he walked up to a lady across the parking isle and chatted. So BYE RICK!!!

On the other side of the past, Peacock is my new neighbor at my place in Boone. Saw him heading out to the Miami game and he went out of his way to stop and talk about App FB for a bit. I miss that guy.

Appftw wrote:It was a picture perfect day and I had a great time. That being said I felt like that overall atmosphere and level of excitement inside the stadium was very lacking and the worst I've seen in years. Maybe it's just me, but I'm in section 203 and there were maybe 10 people in the whole section that ever made any noise on 3rd down and I felt very conspicuous yelling like an idiot (still did tho). Even the students seemed a bit lackadaisical.
Did anyone else feel like this? Or was it all in my head?
Plenty of action in the 111.

I agree. The only music we should be hearing is that of the best college band in the land, that being the ASU Band of Distinction. Those young ladies and gentlemen work their cans off for us. They should be given their due...every game. Just my opinion.

Are you sure he recognized you? Charlie Cobb did the same to me at an event in Charlotte the first couple months he was employed by ASU. I had reached out to shake his hand and welcome him to his position as an alumnus. He started talking to a bunch of volleyball players.

Absolutely 100% positive... It's how he is... No time for ya unless you can do something for him.

Important question: Was he wearing an orange sweater?

Nope!... A cheap looking blue and white Georgia State windbreaker.
