I think Baylor, Missouri, and Cincinnati may offset the help we got from UCF and Army losing. We would need SMU, Cal, Michigan State, and Colorado to lose. I could see 2 or 3 of them losing but it would be a parting of the red sea type moment for them all to lose.

Minnesota will probably also pick up some votes simply by continuing to win and being a P5 team.

They were already ahead of us in Coaches Poll and Illinois is not better than UNC or ULL so I doubt they leapfrog us in AP poll.

But like I said before, our resume is not currently top 25 worthy. We really need to show a couple games in a row of hitting on all cylinders in all 3 phases and we don't play a tough enough schedule to truly complain about not being ranked to this point.

Ohio State is taking care of #25 Michigan State.

In unexpected help, Tulsa is whuping #24 SMU.

Oregon is down 7-0 at half to Cal, is who ahead of App in the receiving votes category. Need the Ducks help.

SMU going down is also a big boost to our NY6 hopes. Need UNLV to pull off a miracle against Boise.

If Cal loses I say we are 26 or 27. If they win we will be 27 or 28. I think Baylor and Missouri move in the rankings while Memphis, App, Cincinnati, and Minnesota are on deck to move in next.

Tulsa totally mismanaged that series after SMU fumbled. Terrible play calling and execution knowing how shaky their kicker is.

Great comeback by SMU. Great teams find a way to win when they play poorly and that’s what the ponies just did.
