We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: App vs USM Game Thread
It would be an understatement to call the performance I just saw a disappointment.
That should have been a game that we could waltz into and walk away with a win. That was far from it. That was absolutely pathetic, and I'm typically an optimist. This wasn't the kickers fault. This wasn't the offense's fault. This wasn't the defense's fault. This wasn't the coaches' fault. This was collectively everybody's fault. They showed up and looked like they had just crawled out of bed. This is what we want to show the nation we are made of our first year in the FBS?
The rest of the season is going to be long and painful. Hell, Georgia State has a chance to topple the Mountaineers right now.

This is now a repetitive issue. We have lost two games in the past 3 years with blocked XP's at the end of a game....anyone remember Illinois State?

I don't know, but might this might be a holder problem? Hallock is out for the year so we had a new guy in there. Not making excuses but it's a possibilitybh2oson wrote:wow - what a blunder fest.... ugh

Question: Would we have lost if Hallock was holding for Matics?

Ok, tough loss; I'm pissed needless to say. However, there are some positives.
Defense adjusted and looked a lot better. Also, when scott grows some balls and lets Taylor play; we have the potential to have a really good offense.
All on coaching/play calling tonight; and obviously kicking.

I do hope SS hands Lamb the keys to the Ferrari on Thursday. I think he has earned it, and the right to use the horse power.

Emotions are high, everyone take a breath, I'm sure kicker feels horrible, 3 missed field goals, extra point. It's going to be a long ride home for the team. But there is plenty of blame to go around, way, way too many mental mistakes, really no excuse, after the team had a week off to not be better prepared, gut check time next week.

Statistically dominant. Losers, but statistically dominant.
Hindsight is 20:20, but you have to go for two when your kicker's pants are soaked with piss...

Well, Clemson basically just matched our red zone gaffe.

Why do we wait until late in the 4th to open the play book? Cox is a stud but damn, we wore their asses out in the air. This looks like the same crap that led to 4-8 last year.boonetown1 wrote:Ok, tough loss; I'm pissed needless to say. However, there are some positives.

Re: App vs USM Game Thread
The bus ride back to Boone is going to be long and daunting, and right now, I think it should be. Our players and coaches need to think long and hard about what kind of game they want to play. Do they want to win or do they want to lose? Do they want to show that they are ready for the FBS or do they want to show that we would struggle even in winning in the SoCon right now?
I'm all about staying positive, but there's something very off here. Maybe the team needs to concentrate more on giving 110% at practice everyday rather than worrying about what song is playing in the stadium while they stand on the sidelines during practice.

Re: App vs USM Game Thread
I sure wish we would just call a play and run it. Too many times we want to change the play at the line of scrimmage giving our QB little time to look at the defense and get the play off with out having to worry about the play clock.
