Congratulations Mountaineers
Congratulations to App State on the big win against our Ragin Cajuns. There is no doubt that App State was the best team today. The Mountaineers out played the Cajuns from the start and your coaching staff out coached the Cajun staff. App State will be a very good addition to the Belt as the conference moves forward.
I want to let every one know that a number of App State fans took advantage of our invitation and came by to tailgate and visit with the Krewe de Chew. We met some very nice App State fans and hope that they enjoyed their visit as much as we enjoyed having them. For those of you that were not there, I want to let you know that App State has quite a few fans that can really "Roosta"!!! LOL!!! Hopefully the next time the Mountaineers come to Lafayette, the game will be played at our traditional 6:00 PM start which will allow for a much better tailgating experience.
Until next time, good luck to the Mountaineers!

Re: Congratulations Mountaineers
I only had the opportunity to listen to the game on the radio, but I have to say that between your hospitality and everything I have heard from firends and staff that went to the game, ULL is a first class operation and the most welcoming I have heard of since Montana. I wish you guys good travels and hope to meet many of you in Boone next year!

Duggie,
Class act man, first the invite to tailgate and then the congrats. I really hope you and your crew can make it to Boone next year. I think we might find out that a mountaineer just might be a cajun's long lost cousin. Good luck in y'all's bowl game.

Know that you will be welcomed at any tailgate in Boone should you have the opportunity to make the trip. Thanks for being such a class act. The Ragin' Cajuns are lucky to have fans like you.

Re: Congratulations Mountaineers
I went to the game, I am currently on my way back home while I text this (I have a friend driving, I'm all legal).
First off minus a few knuckle heads here and there, the UL fans are great people (due to the amount of smack talk this week on the SBC boards from some, I had my early doubts). They all went above and beyond to ensure we had the full experience. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Some of the older UL fans I had issues understanding, but I found if I smiled and said something positive they were all about it! Haha. No really, well worth the drive and I am glad they moved the game up, first class people no doubt. I ate more gumbo, fried catfish, jambalaya, and numerous other things that I couldn't even recognize but still enjoyed! Worth the trip for food alone.
I was disappointed with the turnout, but I suspect that had more to do with the game time getting pushed up than anything else. The stadium is top notch, and with a full crowd likely very intimidating for a visiting team due to the design.
I highly recommend a trip to UL in the future to anyone who has a chance to make it. I knew our kids came to play from watching them during warm-ups. What a great game and it is a great day to be a Mountaineer.

We met some folks at Joey's, across the street from the stadium area for one fine po'boy sandwich. After some good ribbing from Joey, we made our way across the street. You sir, Mr. D. Will always be welcomed in Boone, NC. The fine folks from ULL went out of their way to welcome us, food, drink, conversation, tailgate games. Our experie ce was of football fans that love theirschool with respect of the visitors. Looking forward to a return visit.
