I swear that I didn't look at this until after I posted my previous entry. This supports what I was saying.

Coincidentally I'll be in Vegas Thu. I've never bet on a game before but I'll be taking App with the pts.

Sweet. You may want to throw $10 on the money line. No odds just an out right winner. Right now the money line is +675. So a bet of $10 could net you $67.50.AppStateNation wrote:Coincidentally I'll be in Vegas Thu. I've never bet on a game before but I'll be taking App with the pts.

This wasn't my quote but I agree. I don't think it will get down to 12 but we will have to see where it is when the knuckleheads stop betting on GS.IGgreer wrote:will it now?appst89 wrote:AppSt94 wrote:It'll be bet down to about 12 by game day.

I'm seeing 18.5 to 19.5, looks like the public hasn't any faith in our team,

Staying at some newer hotel around Fremont. About to go look up the best place to watch a game in Vegas.

Re: Vegas odds for Ga South
The half point basically means that the game can't push. The line is originally set to garner action for both sides. The line moves based on action to one side. The action is not necessarily volume but also who is betting. GS is getting plenty of love as the line keeps going up. I think that Vegas is set to make a killing tomorrow.NewApp wrote:What does the .5 mean?Black Saturday wrote:

Re: Vegas odds for Ga South
Any sportsbook would be a good place to watch. There are only three games on. I don't know if you are planning to place any bets but if you are so inclined here are some suggestions on what to bet. I don't bet on ASU but I would lay some money of ASU and take the points. I would also lay some money on the money line. I don't know what the minimum bet is for the money line but an ASU outright win pays out 75 to 1 right now. If you are so inclined to make watching all three games tomorrow night more fun you might consider a three team parlay. You pick three winners on one ticket. All three have to cover but it pays out better than a one team bet. Based on current spreads, I would put $10 on ASU +19, Oklahoma St -13.5 and Arizona St +4.5. Good luck.AppStateNation wrote:Staying at some newer hotel around Fremont. About to go look up the best place to watch a game in Vegas.

Re: Vegas odds for Ga South
I think you read my mind. I was planning on doing the parlay with those exact same choices.
One thing I am confused about though is do I go by the line at the time that I bet or by the line at the time the game starts? Like I said I've never bet on a game, I'm more of a poker player.

Re: Vegas odds for Ga South
Your bet is based on the line at the time you placed the bet. So f you make a bet and take App and the 19, and the line drops to 17 at kickoff, your bet is based on the 19.

Even though you are a rookie, here is tip to make you seem like you know what your doing. Each team has a number code. Get a betting sheet before making your bet. Appalachian is #103 this week. So when you go to the window, tell them you want to put $XX on #103. They will help you if needed. I will be rooting for you.

Re: Vegas odds for Ga South
Correction on this part. App State at +750 on the money line pays 7.5 to 1, not 75 to 1. Still a good bet IMO. I'd rather put $40 on ASU at +750 on the money line to win $300 than have to bet $330 on ASU +18.5 -110 to win the same $300. Knowing this rivalry, I feel as though ASU to win outright is a great bet at those odds.AppSt94 wrote:Any sportsbook would be a good place to watch. There are only three games on.
