Yeah...truth is if they report our fans they and the UL-M fans will just be going down with us. Telling your fans to stop two weeks before signing day when they've been doing it all along, and not just to Eaton, is the very definition of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. And they haven't stopped, as the 11 re-tweets, some including Eaton's twitter handle, and the 17 favorites of the coach's post shows.EastHallApp wrote:Gonzo wrote:Shots fired

Borderline NCAA violation there.
ETA: Looks like the ULM Rivals site noticed the same:

That would be a good guess. Word was Lewis' visit went very well. I was just waiting for any word. We'll see.Goapps15 wrote:Is he referring to Isaiah Lewis?

Gotta think a potential violation by a coach is a bigger deal than fan contact via social media. Not that either is anything major, but I wouldn't mind seeing them sweat it out a bit.firemoose wrote:Yeah...truth is if they report our fans they and the UL-M fans will just be going down with us. Re: Recruiting, 2014
WR Isaiah Lewis (5′ 11″ 170) of Hillcrest Senior High School in Simpsonville, SC has flipped from Ga Sou and committed to App tonight. I have moved him to the Commits section. I will update info as my net get back to speed. Another nice pickup for the staff. Hopefully we can hold on the Meadors. fingers crossed.

Re: Recruiting, 2014
Firemoose as has been stated thanks for all you do.
I hope we keep our commits, but it's like a domino effect. The big boys Like Ala. Penn St. Ohio St. on and on and on start getting their commits lined up taking from each other then at the last minute they start to get Kids who are from the Sun Belt type conferences. They have this complex that they know the kids will be like "I can play for one of the big boys or little ole App State" . I see this in the future being a problem if we don't start of strong in the Sun Belt.
I have total faith in our coaches, and no matter what anyone says we got the right people in place. I just hope that we can keep the pieces we got in place, so the coaches can make the puzzle fit together. I really both 2013 and 2014 (so far) . If we get these 2014 guys committed and the 2013 playing together this is going to be a special bunch.
Also I have noticed how these coaches really like each other, and help each other to no ends. What Scott has put together is not just a staff but a family that cares about each other and the kids coming in and you can tell by some of the tweets .

Re: Recruiting, 2014
The more and more I read into this Eaton situation I believe two things.
1. That he is closer to the App State staff than the Arkansas State staff.
2. His mom does not want him to go away to App State and is holding him back.
Once again that is just my .02, but read his tweets and you get a better idea.

Re: Recruiting, 2014
Leftover hatred from WCU. must be a burden for the Ark State coach. I can understand his fear. He thought he was getting away from us. If Eaton is gone it has everything to do with family not any pearls of wisdom from the Clampets. wheeeee Doggie
Re: Recruiting, 2014
Alabama takes VT recruits, VT takes Carolina recruits, and Carolina takes our recruits etc, this will probably never change, what we can hope for is 1. we hang onto a few of our recruits when the bigger schools come calling, and hopefully, our recruits don't wait until the last minute to flip on us. As far as the coaching staff goes, I couldn't be more impressed with how well they recruit. They seem to be well organized, determined, and are busting their asses to sign kids. It seems that every recruit has nothing but great things to say about the staff and the school. If this is how they plan to recruit in the future, we are going to win more recruiting battles than we lose.

If this coaching staff isn't successful it will not be due to a lack of effort.
This crew is busting it.
I hope they continue to take the high road in their communication, maybe that will mean something to momma.

I don't see how anyone from that staff could ever land a job to be honest. We're talking an FCS team with 1 D1 win in 3 years.Rekdiver wrote:Leftover hatred from WCU. must be a burden for the Ark State coach. I can understand his fear. Re: Recruiting, 2014
Everyone, I'm moving Lewis from WR to ATH. I went back and looked at his highlights and he played WR, RB, and CB in high school. Rivals and ESPN have him listed as a CB and 24/7 has him as a WR. Since it appears from his film that he can play all three and I forgot to ask what he was being recruited as I'm going to go with ATH. My guess is we'll see when the 5th finally gets here who we sign and then they will decide who plays where.firemoose wrote:WR Isaiah Lewis (5′ 11″ 170) of Hillcrest Senior High School in Simpsonville, SC has flipped from Ga Sou and committed to App tonight. Re: Recruiting, 2014
Probably not enough attention for the Lewis commitment here because we're all fretting about Eaton and Meadors. Glad to have him aboard, and of course especially glad whenever we can flip one from GSU.

What else do you expect from a bunch of former Tar Heels? Even worse that this one has all that built up App envy from his WCU days. That behavior will come back to bite them in the long run.Gonzo wrote:Shots fired
