I could be reading too deeply, but they never zoomed in on the helmet decal. You can see he's wearing the black interior block A, but just for a second. I wonder if that means they'll use a different helmet logo. Maybe we see victory Yosef? Flying Yosef? The return of the Gorton's fisherman Yosef?!?!?! USA Block A? They wore the old white interior block A earlier in the year.

I see that now. The tweet didn't load for me, and I assumed it was the same as the video from Instagram. In the video, they never highlight the helmet logo; in the picture post, they clearly show the block A. Love all-black regardless.

As far as rivals, If you have been to an App/Coastal at Coastal and experienced their student fans it will move them up the ladder. I want App to blow them out at Coastal.

My rival list is JMU, Coastal and then Georgia Southern, Marshall. JMU is higher because more people pay attention to JMU football than Georgia Southern football. JMU is who we need to keep behind us or beside us when conference realignment happens again.

We can poo poo their campus, their academics, etc. but for 60 minutes FIVE of the last SIX times they've beaten us. The only other conference opponent that has achieved that is GS from 2000-2004 (including a playoff game) and Furman 1988-1993, that's it, that's the list.

Can't argue that. But I still think it lends too much credit to refer to them as a rival. They are like a fly that's bitten you on the ankle 5 times. We all know what's coming.

I think the Sun Belt sent a memo to teams saying they have to include everyone, including season-ending injuries, on the injury report. Several teams, including App, had just short-term injuries. There were only one or two players on the ODU injury report.

Looks like I'm going to miss this game as a YTTV subscriber. I did the free trial of Fubo to get the games last weekend but that expires today and I am not paying more for this game.

Exact same boat here. Considering the ESPN Ultimate app but there is so much baggage and so many arguments not to get it. I did hear the user interface is bad and the app has glitches.
For all the good things ESPN has brought us over the years, they are burning any remaining good will they have left. At some point, it's a matter of principle.
I've read the rift is getting wider between the two and no resolution is close.

For those that don't know...Disney(ESPN,ABC,etc.) is raising pricing between 40-60% to YTTV and forcing YTTV to carry every Disney product and channel on top of that resulting in even higher prices.
Their goals are to force people to sign up for their struggling streaming services (Hulu+ and FUBO) and to raise the price floor in order to also raise prices on the outlets they own. In short, your TV viewing experience will cost significantly more in the next year.

ESPN is currently the crown jewel in the Disney business umbrella. Their movies are losing millions upon millions, business is down significantly at the parks and their online streaming services are struggling. As a result, they are trying to leverage ESPN to raise their revenue and revenue to all their steaming business units and "channels". I'm not sure if this is smart business or a violation of some anti-trust regulations. Either way, we (the public) get screwed and costs go up artificially.

I do Sling with the Sports package (For ESPNU mostly) just for football season. So for 5 months I prepay and save a little over paying monthly. Then I cancel at the end of January.

You are not alone but that is what Disney is banking on to drive users to its owned platforms. If this isn't solved soon, I'll be one of them. I can still see a lot of APP State sports on my ESPN+ but anything that is on any "broadcast" network is not available. YTTV has the best user interface in the streaming business and other features that make it better than most.

So far it's not working as Disney had hoped. They are losing about $5 million a day not being on YTTV. And they are losing another way too, ratings for the programs are down about 20%. That will impact advertising rates moving forward. No word yet on any gains in subscribers that may offset that.

Part of their strategy is to force YTTV to raise its prices because they plan to raise prices on Hulu+ and Fubo about 15% within the next few weeks.

It would be an interesting case to follow in the old Business Policy class at APP. Do they still have that class at APP?

unfortunately my Disney plus subscription is through apple, which means I cannot get the ultimate package since you can only get that through Disney. It's going to take some time for the current subscription to expire before I can switch over. I only have YTTV for Sunday Ticket, which is now available on its own. After this season is over I plan on ditching YTTV, going to Hulu plus live TV and the ESPN ultimate package. In the fight between google and Disney, I'll side with the one that has what I want, which in this case is the Mouse.

For tonight's game, I can't watch it anyways now that something has come up. We'll see what Saturday brings, there aren't any must watch games on ESPN or ABC that I have seen so far.
