Bus Trip To South Carolina from Charlotte

Unread post by chipjetton » Sun Sep 22, 2019 10:14 pm

Ok Mountaineers, What a difference a Bye Week makes. Great performance and win for the program this weekend! We're going to plan this one a little further out than the effort posted last week (which failed). This will be a full size charter bus, 56 passengers. Cost should be under $50/person. Plan will be to leave early on game day morning (time to be announced but if it is a noon game we will leave as early as 7:30am; in any case, likely not later than 9/930am) and return right after the game. Bus will depart from Park Rd. Shopping Center parking lot, in Charlotte. More details to come but if you are interested please email me at cjetton@cottinghamchalk.com with your contact info, names of those in your party, and a cell number for the main contact in your group. Go 'Neers!

Only way to leave from Triad would be to arrange it differently and I would consider that if we can't fill it here. However, cost could go up and the logistics will certainly be a little more challenging. With regard to leaving earlier, I used to do 6/630am departures but I'm not sure pre-7am will be doable. But, again, I'm waiting on game time to be announced and we'll see where the majority of interest lies at that time. Remember, the ride down is a tailgate too (a family friendly one, we've had plenty of kids ride on these, fun for all ages).

Last time I tried this I dang near died from self imposed fun. Folks this is a fun time and I'd highly recommend.....I'd also highly recommend not over consuming.

We'll be watching and considering. Glad to hear it is family friendly. Don't mind my kid being around drinking, but not obnoxious drunks.

I have Been on a bus trip like this twice to Montgomery and once to mobile. It was a lot of fun. Organized the last two. Had a buddies 8 year old twice and yes we drank but it was in cups and respectable. Had others on with kids and didn’t have my issues.

Chip, yes logistics would be different but if you decide for it to depart from gboro or ws, ill help you work that out. We have a great meeting place and I think We could get a lot from here to do it. If you fill it up there, I’ll try to get a second one from here to go.
