I'm going to be selfish and hope that some weird twist of fate makes the impossible "App to Vegas" happen.

Now for reality, I see Orlando in our future more than Montgomery, New Orleans, or Mobile. Interesting that SB Nation predicts us in the Independence Bowl against Southern Miss though.

Lots of talk elsewhere that if we win out we go to NOLA. Of course, it's just message board talk but it does provide an interesting perspective. It seems StAte may be more interested in heading to Montgomery.

The thing I have against Cure is that is seems like an even lesser bowl than the others we have ties with. At least ESPN promotes their bowls and the coverage is good. Good point on 10 win Troy but I think Doug has shown ability to work magic thus far. I still say win and we get the conference premiere bowl.

Those Ark St fans seem to have good insight and they believe we are NOLA bound if we win Saturday.

The Cure Bowl, while not the most promoted or the most accessible via the airwaves, does provide an AAC opponent.

Thanks. I thought that it was an AAC a lot. I would rather play USF or FIU? Whichever one Kiffen coaches, than any MAC.

It typically is an AAC opponent, but given the eligible teams by Conference it may not be this year.

At least there will be no 5 win teams. That was clinched yesterday.

Personally, I don't really see a difference in "prestige" of any of the bowls tied to the Sun Belt. Sure, NOLA chooses first but, so what? I think it's more important to go somewhere that (first) the players will enjoy and feel rewarded and (second) that the fans will be able to go to and enjoy the city/environment and (third) that brings exposure to the school. To me, for this year, I'd rather go to Orlando first and then NOLA second simply becasue we've been to Montgomery 2 years in a row and Arizona is just too far away and the Mobile bowl on the 23rd is horrible timing related to Christmas. I'm guessing the players would enjoy either Orlando or NOLA, probably in that order. Just my opinion...

Kiffen is at FAU and I would like to play them. I want none of USF, they are far too explosive on offense and that could be a national TV black eye for us.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

Two things about playing USF. 1) they could be unmotivated with the game since they were the NY6 shoe in for most of the season. 2) the game wouldn’t be on national TV. But to your point, Quinton Flowers is a nightmare to game plan for and we struggle with DT QBs.

UAB has a comparable resume to us, so I would agree that it would be winnable.

Didn't they give Charlotte their lone win of the season?

The CUSA title game is FAU vs. North Texas. We’d probably be favored against any team from that league.

I'd be surprised if they would pair us again with Toledo.
