Two Things for thought
1. We will end the season in rarefied air. By my count we are among 21 schools that can finish the season with at least 11 wins- not too shabby!!
2. Just for kicks can one of you guys kind of project our starting 24 (including punter and kicker) players for next season. Of course this is based on what we have coming back. I suspect that the list won't look too bad. Of course Oline is a concern. I wonder what the possibility is of landing a decent JUCO transfer for the line.
Just want to echo what many have said. Incredible win last Saturday and awesome season. Not too often a team actually lives up to preseason expectations. As for the TL haters. You have got to be kidding.

Yup probably pretty close... WR Zy Letman will be one probably Ike Lewis in slot and Capel... w/ backups Barbour, M. Adams, M. Armstrong, D. Jones, and D. Hopkins. There will definitely be a battle for the slot position.

Pepenheim listed at 6'6" and 225 but that has to be what he came in as a Freshman. With our S&C program surely he can get to 255 or so. If he has speed and strength he could be a force. Isn't Bronson graduating?

Yeah, I think that's right. Not sure what I was thinking. I had taken him off.bigdaddyg wrote:Isn't Bronson graduating?

We will also be very deep at NT. Fernandez, Small, Stout, Barrett. The DE competition(s) will be fun to watch.

Lot of experience coming back. Should be building some depth also. Looking good!

Stout in the middle, speed everywhere else. Easily the best defense returning in the SB.T-Dog wrote:Dear Sun Belt,asucrutch23 wrote: DE Norwood/Favoroso/Sims/Papenheim

Re: Two Things for thought
I do think the staff will give Edge-Campbell every chance to win the starting center job since it would keep Collins at LG. The fact that the backup to Chapman was Collins was worrying since it threw the OL out of balance.

Re: Two Things for thought
Are we drunk off autoMatics and going to have a hangover at kicker?

Re: Two Things for thought
At this point, I'm wondering if one option - perhaps even the most likely one - is to leave Gossett at RT and move Nunn over to LT. If TEC or someone else wins the C job, great (ideal, actually). If not, move Collins there.
Downside is that you have five guys in new positions from the start of this year. Upside is that theoretically it should be easier to replace two guards than LT and C, especially with Collmar already established as at least a credible option at one spot.
I do like Vic Johnson's potential, though - just not sure if he'll be ready to start.\

I don't think we have the depth to move anybody from OL at this point.

Re: Two Things for thought
Add long snapper Elias McMurray to the list. One of the best in the country and we have him for 3 more years. EVERY snap this year on a punt, fg, or pat was perfect. Important and often overlooked position and he does an awesome job.

Re: Two Things for thought
Add Morgan Wilson to the DE possibility, if he is healthy. Was a supposed under the radar steal for us as a walk on I believe. Moose could speak to that more than me
I think the right side of the OL stays the same with Victor Johnson getting the first crack at LT. If Collins moves to Center, I see Collmar and TEC battling that out
