A buddy of mine is in the App State ROTC program and was sharing this with me on Facebook. The The AppState Pershing Rifles (the drill team responsible for the presentation of the colors at every football game) has launched a GoFundMe account to try to raise money to get them to the National Drill Team Competition (NATCON) Apparently our team holds the record for most National Titles. And it would be great to help them win another one.

Appalachian State Pershing Rifles, Company M4 is a national fraternity dedicated to portraying outstanding traits of military bearing, discipline, and leadership.
The AppState Pershing Rifles work closely with the community and ROTC department. Pershing Rifles provides color guards for sporting and military events, teaches Drill and Ceremony to both ROTC cadets and AppState students, and visits local high schools to help with drill competitions and exhibitions.
The AppState Pershing Rifles also attend an annual national competition (NATCON) in March. The M4 Company currently holds the record for most National titles.
The money raised during this fundraiser would help the AppState Pershing Rifles attend NATCON. The required dues to participate in the competition increased substantially and the program needs help sending members. Please help us raise money to reduce the finances our members are forced to pay out of pocket. The money would also help the program replace broken and out-of-date equipment necessary to function in a Drill and Ceremony competition.
The AppState Pershing Rifles would be grateful for any amount of donation. Please help us maintain our legacy at NATCON and dedication to building confidence, discipline, and leadership to college and high school students alike.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. I'm in and hope the rifle team makes their goal. I know they will take the competition by storm.
It might help to underscore the financial need if you'd include info concerning the date and location of their competition.
