My first choice would be a "real" Mountaineer, ala WVU. However, I like the gray beard as opposed to this new one, but not enough to care too much. I'm just happy it is not Blosef.

I guess with the new "old" Yosef having a black beard, it makes sense, but I'm not sure I'm a fan yet. Maybe it'll grow on me... hopefully it'll grow on me.

I too would rather have a "real" mountaineer mascot. Keep the cartoon Yosef around to entertain kids in the stands ect. but give me a real on field mascot with a gun!

I'm disappointed. Loved the Grey beard.

And I'm 100% against a live action mascot.

on the +: he has a full head of hair (sideburns go up to the hat)

I like the new Yosef, but it's the mascot--I have to try to actually care. With that said, it's still an improvement over this thing:

for the record, i hated the gray. Yosef has always had a dark beard. Why did he have to get old? Love the blackbeard. it wont take long to get used to.

Once horn in the west goes out of season there should be plenty of characters looking for work.

I just showed another picture of the new Yosef to my girlfriend (App grad). She asked me why he was Asian.

When Blosef was unveiled at the Auburn game, a guy sitting behind me said he looked like Roachel Laney...which was true, except for the fact that Blosef had socks on.

I like this one a lot. Looks like the one from when I was a kid.
