It looks pretty active which is exciting because we really didn't have on for the SoCon. What's the general consensus from the current schools on the realignment and the addition of ASU specifically? From what I can gather it's not very hostile.

OK I'll give you the rundown over there.....
1) they are all very welcoming off App State a d what we have the potential to do
2) they WERE excited about GA South but then the Stink fans came out and ran their yaps about how deadly the triple highschool football option was and how they will rule the sun belt. Since then they arent very well liked.
3) the majority of the posters over there ( mainly older ones) complain about the sun belt being on the bottom of the barrel and they don't seem to take pride in what they have.
4). most folks are super cool but some what pretentious when it comes to etiquette and the like.

Overall its a good forum if we did get rid of the GA South and Liberty Bible Thumper fans.

Thanks Todd, I really appreciate the heads up. I like hanging out over there, it's really nice to be in conference where there are some real fans. The SoCon could never support a conference forum because other than ASU and GS no school has any appreciable fan base.

Yup, I came to that conclusion a few years back when I started the original proboards SoCon forum. The usual suspects made an appearance, but most of the school forums were overtaken by tumbleweeds and crickets after a week.

It is cool to finally see a forum with actual fans of the teams in the conference mingling. Though I had to duck out last week after the obnoxious level of Georgia Southern posters and Liberty spammers.

I have been over at that board since December and didn't really start posting until after our invitation. ASUTodd's overview is accurate.
