We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

They are likely the best two teams in the SB this year. Both should make bowl games.

Re: conversation/preview for ULL-Ark State
I did watch some of this game last night - sorry but I found it pretty boring - NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG - I've have watched many boring ACC games, SoCon games and even a few SEC games - not making a judgment on the conference - Wondering if a Tuesday night might have played into it? - The parts of the SB games I have seen this season it does seem they all have some pretty big bodies out there on the field ---

The quality of line play is certainly a step up from any SoCon team.

Re: conversation/preview for ULL-Ark State
It's hard to judge quality of line play as Ark St only scored 7 points but the size of the linemen looked more like Montana - both teams had some big guys on both lines ---Saint3333 wrote:The quality of line play is certainly a step up from any SoCon team.

It's like they are playing a different sport than we are.

I've seen ULL play twice now and it may be "boring" football, but they basically just lineup and pound you with a BIG offensive line and a BIG powerful running back. It makes their passing game and QB runs pretty effective too. You have to be impressed with the way they converted 3rd and short over and over again by just sending Harris pounding behind one of the big uglies on the right side. Their DL is pretty big too and were effective putting pressure on the QB, but the OL was what was really impressive. Reminded me of Wisconsin when Alverez was coaching.

I wasn't knocking ULL as a team just stating the game itself lacked any electricity - maybe because it was a Tuesday ---SpeedkingATL wrote:I've seen ULL play twice now and it may be "boring" football, but they basically just lineup and pound you with a BIG offensive line and a BIG powerful running back. It might be a few years before we can be competitive in the SBC since our boys get beat up in the trenches against SmallCon schools.SpeedkingATL wrote:I've seen ULL play twice now and it may be "boring" football, but they basically just lineup and pound you with a BIG offensive line and a BIG powerful running back. We have to remember that ULL and stAte are probably to best of the Belt currently too. App's got a lot of young linemen that hopefully will get bigger and stronger and quickly.Gonzo wrote:It might be a few years before we can be competitive in the SBC since our boys get beat up in the trenches against SmallCon schools.SpeedkingATL wrote:I've seen ULL play twice now and it may be "boring" football, but they basically just lineup and pound you with a BIG offensive line and a BIG powerful running back. It was 100 times more electric than last Saturday's game at Furman. They have some big time attendance problems.
