No, you got that information from me if you follow the digital trail.
And I got that information from the voice himself.

LOL!!! That didn't take long. Just glad it's finally official. I do hope the final non-conference games are announced soon.

Tough road schedule for year one.

I know this suggestion is probably insane, but from what I can tell Florida State still needs to schedule an away game for 2014. Florida State in Boone would be sweet!!!

I was wrong about Florida State. Forgot about Notre Dame.

Underwhelming home schedule. Hopefully we can find a halfway appealing out of conference opponent to help the home slate.

I think the new faces are refreshing. Besides we all knew it was going to involve some combination of the existing Sun Belt schools.

Now we just have to work on those remaining 2 OOC games. WFU, Marshall or ECU would be my first choices second would be some of the other ConfUSA teams.

Our administrators have been backpeddling lately about the potential quality of our 2014 schedule. I'm guessing those two remaining out-of-conference games will consist of a MAC-level team on the road and another lower-level FCS team in Boone. We also could play a 13th game at Hawaii.

Don't forget we have the Camels at home next year as well. That helps to strengthen the home slate eh?

Yeah...it isn't ideal...I'm personally looking forward to LaMo...a quality opponent. Still - we should go 3-1 at home at worst. That is a tough road draw if you follow the SB already. I think we could steal a few wins though. '15 could be an outstanding home slate if we schedule well OOC.

If we schedule Hawaii my wife will sdfanot care how bad the home schedule is.

I'm really excited about all new teams coming to the rock in 2014!!! Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed the SoCon and the rivalries there but nothing wrong with some fresh blood coming in to Boone

Normally would think one FCS home game, which we have set up to play already, is the normal maximum but imagine since all we can play for is the SBC championship, not bowl eligible we probably will add another FCS school if we cannot get a good FBS team to come to Boone. We all know with limited KBS seating, they will not consider the grass area much in an FBS team scheduling us, that we will probably have a hard time in getting one to come to Boone. Exceptions would probably be teams like ODU and Charlotte, but believe their schedules are already full. JMU might be good, especially if they announce they are going FBS.

It would be extremely disappointing, but I wouldn't be surprised. We seem to have issues in scheduling that no other school in America has. I don't know what they are, but they must be there.

Well, the fact that our AD has been quoted in several articles as not having any contact with ECU or Wake Forest, while apparently calling Uncc every other day, may clue us in to what the issues possibly are.

You would think a lower level MAC team could be brought to Boone. I wouldn't imagine Buffalo or Umass's crowds are bigger than App State's? Not complaining, but CC is dropping the ball.
