THE RUNDOWN

University of Texas Arlington was founded in 1895 and served as a military academy for much of the 1900's.  Pete Carlon heads the athletic department for the Mavericks.  UTA joined the Sun Belt this year.

The basketball team is currently coached by Scott Cross who is 122-96 in his 7 years at UTA.
