Horrible news obviously, and on the same day Withers is scheduled to be introduced as the new coach.

That is a tough one for a new coach to step in to.

SAN MARCOS, Texas - On the same day Texas State hired its new head football coach, Bobcat redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Will Trevillion died.

The school has not said how Trevillion died, but some media reports suggest that his death was the result of complications from an emergency tracheotomy during the season. Trevillion died Wednesday after collapsing in his home, according to TexasRedzoneReport.com.

Truly sad loss. Too young. And the young man had chosen to major in health and fitness management. Difficult for we mere mortals to fathom such sad circumstances.
