Clemson playoffs
My daddy always said that I should cheer for the team that beats me because if they finish #1 then you can say that it took the best to beat you.
That being said this Mountaineer will be a Clemson fan today. I hope that they win it all. That way we can say that we only lost to the conference champion and the FBS national champion. Only the best could beat our team!

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Can't pull for the Tigers. Never have and never will be a fan. Plus 15 other teams if Clemson runs the table can pull the "We lost to the national champion" card. I'm already content and satisfied with our season. Don't need a Clemson victory to confirm our greatness this year. The fact they are the only team to finish the regular season undefeated says a lot by itself.

Re: RE: Re: Clemson playoffs
I don't think anyone is saying we NEED Clemson to win the title to make our season a success. It goes without saying we had an incredible season. But in terms of (the possibility of) getting ranked, it could be a factor. The ranking committee looks at wins and losses and not much else, so yeah...pull for Clemson to win it all./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Can't pull for the Tigers. Never have and never will be a fan. Not sure why the hate for the Tigers, but the only other team I could see rooting for would be the Spartans. I'm hoping for a Clemson/Sparty final./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Can't pull for the Tigers. I don't know why I don't like them in all honesty. I've just never been a fan. Dabo has decreased my hate towards them though. He is a good guy and coach. My dad is a big OU fan, so I'm pulling for them.ASUMountaineer wrote:Not sure why the hate for the Tigers, but the only other team I could see rooting for would be the Spartans. I can't see Saban losing back to back semi final games. Especially considering most playing today remember the Ohio State game last year. Many predict a close game, which I agree with for the first half, but see Bama pulling away second half like they did in the SEC title game.
Regardless of the outcomes, I've already informed my wife from 4 to midnight don't expect much from me. She can have half time for each game and the time between, but days like today are why I love and prefer CFB over NFL.

As a rule, don't like and can't pull for Orange teams. Tops on the bad guy, don't like list: Auburn, Tenn, and "Clempson"

Re: Clemson playoffs
I have Clemson friends who were rooting for us in the Camellia Bowl so I will return the favor today. My boss is a Clemson alum and his son is a student at Oklahoma. Lots of trash talking between them I'm sure.

Re: Clemson playoffs
Don't think it has any effect for App in perception or reality, so I don't care either way. Mainly I'm pulling for anyone but Bama.
This should be a good one, but I'll very slightly favor Clemson. I think Bama beats MSU, and I think either Clemson or OU beats Bama.

Re: Clemson playoffs
Don't think OU defense will be able to stop Clemson in the 2nd half - haven't done it yet -

Re: Clemson playoffs
Clemson has rolled up over of 500 yards of total offense against 10 of 13 opponents - one of the 3 is APP who held them to 390 ---
