I could not care less about what two basketball schools do to occupy themselves in the fall. Carolina probably won't even need to cheat to win this one though so +1 for them.

I could. As I would love to se UNC come up the mountain and get a beat down. Or go down there and do the same. Yet, no dice.

No brainer for the Holes. Beat up on a bad FBS team and snatch the mid-level recruits left over after the SEC took all they wanted. Has nothing at all to do with UnCc Concord.
They didn't even need a tutor to figure that one out.

Not a true home-home of course. They play in Charlotte when UNCC isn't the opponent. They are continuing their recruiting presence. Recruiting grounds is the UNCC, ODU, etc. big advantage in securing these deals, and its our disadvantage. We should care because it may crowd out the possibility for UNC vs. AppSt in Charlotte. But we could still try ECU.

Y'all know how I feel about UNCc, but they're doing well with scheduling. H&H's with tobacco road. I wouldn't trade our infinitely superior football fan ship, success, and tradition for their area code, but (704) is paying dividends for UNCc.

The game is a true home and home. Game in Charlotte will not be at Bank of America instead will be on campus at UNCC.

The UNCs and NC States of the world have no reason to prove they're "better than us". Do I think they're scared? Absolutely. If I learned anything from Rocky V, if you want to fight the big boy you've got to stay in his ear. "You've gotta dog him" says George Washington Duke.
Maybe a well placed (respectful, yet subtly baiting) billboard in downtown Chapel Hill or 2 blocks away from campus in Raleigh with a list of our shared open dates would do the trick.

So what are the details and timeline for Richardson Stadium expansion?

They don't need it, as they don't fill up what they have to the point of folks hanging out of buildings, off trees and willing to pay full price to sit on a muddy hill 50 yards away from the near goal line. Silver is seen during the third quarter in the upper corner toward the end zone, and it doesn't matter that those are the band seats, and they're on a break -- no one is there willing to fill that space for 15 minutes. And until everyone remains in the stands up until their band's version of The Waltz, there is no reason to even begin planning for expansion.
Isn't that how this is supposed to go?

Our AD is notoriously tight lipped about everything. We even have a "silent capital campaign" that is, by insider accounts, doing very well, yet hasn't been advertised. It's one of our constant gripes on the NNN boards- give us something, anything, to let us know what our direction is.
We do know this- Judy Rose has publicly stated that she wants to see what attendance demand is after a year or two of FBS play prior to making an expansion related announcement. The foundation footings are already in place to support the expansion, which was designed along with the original stadium. Basically, remove some brick pavers and there they are. Greater unknowns are how we plan to expand. the original plan showed a small deck above the existing press box and concourse, perhaps 5,000 seats on each side, with a larger deck over that, probably 10,000 seats on each side. So do we build one whole side to hit 30,000 total, and be as lopsided as JMU, or add both smaller decks to reach approximately 25,000, which is the preference of our fans at the moment.
Speculation on the board is that the Home and Home with Duke (Not at BOA) and Carolina (Not at BOA) are likely contingent upon some assurances on our behalf of an expansion.
The Halloween game against Marshall has already sold out, and the Southern Miss Homecoming Game should sell out as well. All of the conference games and Temple seem to be showing strong appeal. Common sentiments are that we expect an expansion announcement after this season or at latest after the 2016 season. This would put additional seats in the Rich before 2017 and in time for the ASU/ Charlotte game in 2018. Again, how many. I doubt we will need 40,000 seats for a long time, so the stadium will not look like the photos below when you arrive for ASU/ Charlotte, but I included them because I think you can get a good feel of what the "intermediate" expansion (5,000 seats each side) would look like.
Also, Good Luck against Clemson... I know that's a huge game for the G5.

That seems unnecessary given the pictures I've seen. JRS is only 15,000 or so and it was half empty for most of games last season.

Unfortunately you see A LOT more "silver" at KBS than just when the band steps away for 15 minutes. Nice troll attempt though.

Damn, color me jealous. Makes me sick that Carolina will sign with them during their first year of FBS when they won't play us and wouldn't to ECU for 30 years.

True, regarding the band. Our new band fills a whole section now. Honestly curious, what is the student allotment for KBS? For years 1 and 2, we allocated nearly half the stadium, 7,500 to 18-21 year olds who rather enjoyed the social atmosphere of the concourse, left the stadium early to party, or simply failed to show because, I don't know, MTV or whatever kids do for fun now. (Im getting old). Anyway, their actions managed to earn them a reduction intickets to 4,000 this season. The other 3,500 will go to general admission.

All students can get into the game. We have ample general admission seating with the hill. Strictly with regards to seats held for students, we hold somewhere between 7,500 and 10,000 for students. The number I have heard batted around is on average, 9,000 students attend each game.

I could see UNC buying out the second game and never stepping foot in Charlotte

Ah, I see... I forgot about the hill! We don't have such a location, so the students either sit in their allotted seats or are forced to buy general admission. I think the home opener for Presby Saturday has seen the full allotment claimed, so students are on the list for a lottery. Presby has only claimed about 350 of their tickets, so our students will likely get some of them.
And as far as UNC buying out the second game, that is definitely a possibility- we had a game scheduled with them to kick off 2016, but they had to cancel, so they've already given us one buy out. The game was never made public, so I'm sure the buyout was more like "Here's a check for your troubles". Our AD mentioned it during a coaching show. I wouldn't put it past the Cheaters to do it again though.
