Or smart...especially for tough-to-move games. Looks like something we should've done for this one. We are a "teacher school" and cheap tixs might have got a lot up the Mtn, even non-alums, and would be a great PR move if nothing else, at a time when teachers feel they are being "attacked" from many angles in our state. My lady has already had 2 of her fellow grade teachers jump on the UNC deal and plan a day trip to CH as a result of this promotion...and neither have any direct ties to UNC. It was more about a fun day trip for the family, something the kids would like, and at the right price. I think I speak for most of us on the board when I say that I'd rather take a day trip to the high country any day when compared to Chapel Hill!

No way they would be selling tickets this cheap if they were able to be sold at $40. So in a way they are desperate, but they are responding in a way to bring in a crowd.

Cutting ticket prices may be leaving money on the table IF they are going to be sold at a higher price, then again not selling a ticket is leaving money on the table as well and no chance to sell merchandise and concessions.

It is a really smart move for several reasons.
