"ELON, N.C. – Elon University Director of Athletics Dave Blank announced today that Jason Swepson has been dismissed as head football coach. A national search for Swepson's successor will begin immediately.

"I want to thank Coach Swepson for his hard work and dedication to our football program during his time at Elon," Blank said. "At this time, however, I believe that a change in leadership is necessary to move our program forward and provide the best opportunity for Elon student-athletes to succeed."

Swepson was named head coach in 2011 and oversaw a program with a 10-24 overall win-loss record over the past three years, and a 5-19 record in the Southern Conference. "

DIII school but H-S seems to have a good football tradition. There could be worse places to be.
