CSU QB could be lost for the year

Unread post by hapapp » Mon Sep 30, 2013 12:13 pm

Charleston Southern QB Malcolm Dixon may have torn his ACL on the TD called back in the 4th quarter. That would be a devastating blow to the 5-0 Bucs.

I saw him down in the end zone but didn't see how he injured himself. Anyone know what happened?

Kid had a hell of a game. Sucks to hear he suffered such a serious injury. IIRC, it looked as if he was stumbling backwards and his leg just gave out. Didn't seem to come from a hit or juking move, just sort of a freak accident.

I hate it for Chucky, they have the makings of a nice season.

Their backup QB threw the game winning TD pass on us afterall. If you were there, you saw how impressive of a play that was. I wouldn't feel too bad for Chuck South.

That was one play. Does the backup provide the dual threat that Dixon does?

As he was running past/through 3 defenders one of them managed to get an arm on him. That broken arm tackle appears to have been enough to cause him to plant his foot awkwardly. As he did, his knee buckled slightly. I have seen worse, but it looked pretty serious.

Terrible for the Kid, he was a beast and definitely the best QB on the field. He sure handed us our arses

I hate to hear this. On the video I knew he was in pain the way he was rolling around and such.

On a related note involving CSU.

I'm coming into this conversation late, but I hate to see a talented kid like Dixon going down. Good luck to the Bucs on replacing him. I think their backup was pretty decent, but Dixon was a "difference maker."

I agree, and they have that 13th game this year to boot. They will be lucky to keep their backup healthy. I would be surprised if they can go 3 deep and win the Big South this year.
