UNC-CH FB Recruiting Violatons?

Intel: Latest on Bill Belichick job security, potential recruiting violations
I think the link is pay-walled but the headline says enough. We all know nothing will happen to UNC-CHeat but for all the money going into betting with college sports where is the money and on what school gets the hit if violations are found. I feel lik WCU could be in a world of hurt. I assume they would go after an in-state FCS school as they are big enough that FCS level would be involved in violations but small enough that no one would want to come to their aid. I just feel bad for whatever school has to take the hit for the actions of someone finding some dirt on UNC-CHeat.

Don't think this one thing in and of itself is a huge deal, but it sounds like this is the least of the troubles Belichick and his clown car of a staff have created in Chapel Hill. Starting to be rumblings he won't make it through the season.

NCAA could help out the "Carolina Way" by bringing up something just so UNC-CHeat could then have just cause and save a ton of money on getting rid of Belichick. I have not thought of that angle. I would not put it past the feckless NCAA when it come to protecting a Blue Blood school.

I think you’re looking at this the wrong way. I think UNC boosters and higher ups reported the recruiting violations so they can fire Belicheck “for cause” and not have to pay his $20 mil buyout. Saving that money would be worth missing a year or two of bowl games.

How ironic that after trying to cover up decades of cheating, now they want to uncover cheating so they can fire Bill and not pay him. Typical assholes. If they were winning, they’d lawyer up and tell the NCAA it was none of their business.

I dislike UNC as much as anyone and really don’t like Chapel Bill… but give the guy a couple years before you bury him.

I disagree. He doesn’t even look like he wants to be there. When you see him on the sideline he looks checked out and disinterested. It feels like he thought his name and Super Bowl rings were going to bring him the best players. Every week there seems to be something new that comes out that shows how bad of a hire this was.

With all the money committed to the program for nil, I thought it was surprising they could not find a better QB in the portal. Yes, the QB looked like a Heisman trophy candidate against App. However, I thought that was surprising.... Especially given the program has had 3 pros in the last several years .. Trubisky, Howell and Maye... Not "all pros"... But made it to the league and started some games..

The longer he sticks around the better IMO. Who does UNC have this weekend has almost become fighting words in my group. Lovin it!
