So the NCAA suspends Manziel for a half for signing things for others for commercial purposes......so does EVERY kid who's jersey was sold by the NCAA get suspended for the NCAA making a profit off them!
Whatever!

Manziel deserved to be suspended for being an idiot in general. I don't even care about the jersey signings to be honest.

Exactly. The NCAA used to (thanks Jay Bilas) allow folks to search for merchandise on ITS website by student-athlete name, and now they will suspend him for "allowing" someone else to make a profit on them. As the OP said, the NCAA is a joke.

I really, really hate Manzelle, here is a kid who has spent the summer, embarrassing his family, putting his headcoach through hell, forcing his teammates to have to answer questions about him, instead of concentrating on the upcoming season, and maybe, putting a national title run in jeopardy, and he just doesn't seem to give a dam, its all about him, and making sure he is happy. Normally, I don't care about Alabama, but when they play the Aggies, for that one game, I hope they beat the hell out of him, and they destroy the Aggies!!

It's crap for sure. Clowney did the same thing and I'm sure nothing will happen. They would drop the hammer on us or a smaller program but they are afraid of the big boys because they know the discussions that are already taking place.
