Anyone catch the UR-Charlotte finish in the A-10 quarters? UR had a 3 point lead with 6 seconds left and lost by 8. There were 3 technical fouls called on UR and their coach was ejected in the last 6 seconds of the game.

What the...I didn't see it, but I wish I had. I really wanted UR to win that game.

UR fouled with six seconds left, a intentional/technical foul was called on the foul shot under the basket. Then the refs called a shooting foul on a three point shot and the UR bench erupted and two more technicals were called. Charlotte shot 11 foul shots in the last six seconds to win. Talk about luck. I doubt we will see such again. As a former UR grad student back in the 70's, I was pulling for the Spiders as well.

I haven't seen it, but it must have been pretty bad to get Chris Mauney teed up twice. You would think the A10 would be trying to cater to the members it still has come July 1, and not try to push them along to the Catholic/Baptist 8.

The first tech on the player was just plain stupid. On the made FT he just shoved the Charlotte player down. The three point shot foul from beyond half court was, in my view, a bogus call. He was fouled and then threw the ball towards the basket and got the call. That was the call that sent Mooney ballistic.

And of course Cee just got blown out second round by Saint Louis. 72-55. It would have taken at least ten technical fouls to steal the win this time and the poor Niners couldn't manage.

It's Friday. The whole team went home for the weekend.

Went home? Don't they all commute anyway so wouldn't they just stay home.
