Let's hope Houston gets their act together and beats the Mustangs tonight.

I was going to post about this game. Glad you brought it up. I’ll be channeling my inner Cougar tonight, hope Houston can do App a favor. Maybe SMU will be looking ahead to next week when they travel to Memphis.
He sucks as a coach - he had the best talent WVU had had in decades and he lost anyway - now he is tanking Houston - Did you guys read about their QB taking his red-shirt so he could play next year when Houston doesn't expect to be so bad?BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:01 pmHolgerson seems to lay eggs when needed. I have no hope for UH to pull it out.
From what I've read, Holgerson is really pulling a "Dolphins" this year, in hopes that next season will be better. I guess he feels like he's got some leeway this season since he's new. Either way, if that was App's coach and this was a confirmed strategy, I'd be on board with a "Fire Him" thread. App never takes the field without the expectation of winning, and I expect our coaches to put the best 22 on the field to make that happen.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:33 pmHe sucks as a coach - he had the best talent WVU had had in decades and he lost anyway - now he is tanking Houston - Did you guys read about their QB taking his red-shirt so he could play next year when Houston doesn't expect to be so bad?BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:01 pmHolgerson seems to lay eggs when needed. Losing can become a habit real fastBeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 3:25 pmFrom what I've read, Holgerson is really pulling a "Dolphins" this year, in hopes that next season will be better. I know there are nuances to the situation, and sometimes you sit players for a reason. But I've read a couple things that say UH is not actively trying their best to win. That's unacceptable.
Go look at the computer ratings. Both of the AAC divisions rank above the ACC divisions. We want the AAC to be considered the P6 league. We will be there by 2025.
Well houston is also tanking so I dont blame the fansspacemonkey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 7:37 pmAll I can think is "Marketz". Dallas is two hours from Houston. Two of the largest marketz in the country and probably the world and the stands are pretty empty.
I keep telling people the same thing, it wasn't King's idea it was Holgorsen's idea and he sold it to his team. King has taken a beating for redshirting this year, but he was just following his coaches wishes. I really don't know why the media ran with the King version when it has been clear since the first day that it was the coaches idea. It really is unbelievable that a coach would sacrifice a season like that.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 5:06 pmThere’s no mystery about it: Holgorsen held a press conference with the QB and the other guy who’s redshirting admitting that he wanted to save them for next year once they started out 1-3 this year. He even said something like “The NCAA is probably mad at me because this isn’t what the rule was intended for.”
For those who haven’t seen it, a grad transfer OL left the team and tweeted a thread ripping Holgorsen for tanking the season (among other things).
