We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Sorry, I really want to pull for our conference, but I just really don't like southern. I hope they lose in a close heartbreaking way, so they at least they don't embarrass the conference

Pulling for a 2 -2 tie with another safety in overtime for a GS win. Close as I can come to a both teams losing scenario.

Re: Stink Bowl
I'm pulling for Southern. Back in the SoCon, it was pretty easy to root against rivals in OOC games, since the conference had a reputation for being strong. The SBC is quite the opposite; elevating its reputation can only help us long term.

Re: Stink Bowl
A Southern win can help the Sun Belt get more money for the league and thus App State. The G5 leagues get tiered payouts by how good the league does so tonight is very important for that.
I'll root for Southern.

Re: Stink Bowl
Some MAC Boards are stating that they and the AAC are the cream of the crop in the G5. It would personally please me if they (MAC teams) would go 0-2 against the Sun Belt. I hate to say it, however, I'll be pulling for The Stink.

Re: Stink Bowl
I don't think any of you actually know any Auburn or Alabama fans. I work with a bunch and can assure you that none of them have EVER pulled for the other.
I will not be pulling for GaSo tonight, just as I have never pulled for WCU in anything.

Re: Stink Bowl
I don't want to but I have to pull for Southern. I'd love nothing more than pulling against our rival but we need our conference to look stronger and unfortunately a Southern win will help. If the Sun Belt starts regularly winning OOC games I will root against Southern but right now we need the Sun Belt to look stronger for App to look stronger.
The mountains are calling and I must go

Exactly. I know many as well and good friends with Michigan alums. Never under any circumstances do they cheer for their rival.BeauFoster wrote:I don't think any of you actually know any Auburn or Alabama fans. I work with a bunch and can assure you that none of them have EVER pulled for the other.

I am torn on the subject, but since who we pull for will not make any difference in who wins, I just decided I will drink a few beers and let the chips fall.

Re: Stink Bowl
I've been really surprised over the past two weeks by how delusional MAC fans seem to be. Anyone can see that the MAC is fighting a close battle with CUSA and the SBC for the status of worst G5 conference. Maybe it's B1G little-man syndrome.WataugaMan wrote:Some MAC Boards are stating that they and the AAC are the cream of the crop in the G5. Pulling for Stink is short term pain for long term gain....the more respect the Conf gets the better for us

Do I like Georgia Southern? No
Do I respect Georgia Southern? Yes
Do I like to beat Georgia Southern? Hell Yes
I like the rivalry and the competition. Glad they went with us to the Sunbelt. Look forward to many more close games in the future.
In this game? GO EAGLES!

I respect them for getting out of FCS and for being the only rival left on our football schedule.ASUTodd wrote:Whoa whoa whoa.... You respect the stink? Let's not get carried away!

Yep, I have some good friends that went to school there. I respect what they have accomplished. We get after each other pretty good during games, but we respect each other.

Re: RE: Re: Stink Bowl
I think stAte could develop into a pretty good rivalry. With them screwing us out of conference championships in both football and volleyball this year I really don't like that crew at this point.CVAPP wrote:I respect them for getting out of FCS and for being the only rival left on our football schedule.ASUTodd wrote:Whoa whoa whoa.... Re: RE: Re: Stink Bowl
I agree and I was going to mention them, but I feel pretty sure we need to put a couple more wins on them before they will acknowledge they are not too good to be our rivals.appbio91 wrote:I think stAte could develop into a pretty good rivalry.
